The gun fired no bullet.

Saint Rosward's fury reached its peak and exploded. He swung his golden pistol wildly, smashing it again and again into the guards beside him.

"You damned fools! Get moving! Kill him! I'll feed his corpse to my slaves!"

At their master's command, the guards roared and charged. Some drew long blades, others pulled out pistols, and they advanced on Adrian.

"You damned commoner! Kneel and beg Saint Rosward for forgiveness!"

Before they could reach Adrian, white hollows flashed toward them like lightning and plunged into their chests. An instant later, they exploded.

Agony burst from the guards' hearts. Blood blossomed across their chests, exposing the mangled flesh and bone within.

These capable Celestial Dragon guards had been killed in the blink of an eye!

The onlookers were stunned. None had imagined he would actually attack a Celestial Dragon's guards. How was that any different from defying the Celestial Dragon himself?

Some guests at the Sofia Auction House recognized Adrian. They stared at him in a daze and murmured under their breath.

Saint Rosward finally grasped that Adrian had killed his guards in an instant. Rage twisted his face as he roared:

"Sorry, but the Marine Admiral's arrival was part of my plan."

Adrian bent down and picked up a long blade beside a dead guard. Holding its black scabbard in one hand, he walked toward Saint Rosward.

"Now, sorry for the trouble, but you're coming with me, Saint Rosward of the Celestial Dragons."
