At LexCorp, Lex Luthor showed Bruce around the lab, introducing the newly developed robots. "I think these intelligent robots have excellent prospects."
"Indeed. They could be very useful in space exploration." Bruce nodded.
"No, that's not what I meant." Lex Luthor shook his head. "What do you think of their potential as weapons? I could put you in touch with the military—"
"No." Bruce cut him off before he could finish. He loathed war. Why would he want to sell robots to the military?
Bruce firmly rejected Lex Luthor's proposal. They parted on bad terms, and cracks appeared in their partnership.
After seeing Bruce off, Lex Luthor got into his car with a gloomy expression and rested his eyes in the passenger seat.
"Mercy, why are you so quiet today?" Not having heard a word from his bodyguard, Lex Luthor asked in confusion.
