After dealing with the Xenomorph problem, everyone returned to Earth and began preparing to mess with Batman.

"Barry, why do you look so strange? You weren't scared back there, were you?" Superman asked The Flash.

"No, Iris just asked me if I was dating two people at once—" The Flash said awkwardly.

"So how did you explain it to her?" Roland asked curiously.

"I said I was on a date with you guys, and Iris believed me." The Flash shrugged.

"That's technically not wrong." Superman nodded. "All right, let's talk about the plan for Batman. I can hardly wait."

"Of course. I've got everything ready—" Roland let out a Gargamel laugh and explained his plan to the others.

A few days later.

Snowflakes drifted down over Gotham during the Christmas holidays, blanketing the city in white and making it look like the misty nineteenth-century London of Dickens's novels.

"Strange. How did Christmas come around so soon?" Batman was out on his routine patrol when he suddenly felt that something was off about the atmosphere lately. But after checking the calendar, he couldn't find anything wrong.

As for Gotham, it was as peaceful and serene as ever. Joker had just escaped from prison, Riddler was leading his men in a turf war against Black Mask, and Roland Cathedral was still holding classes, making Gotham considerably more peaceful.

Just then, a line of text suddenly appeared in front of Batman.

[This is Bob. He's a decent guy. The trouble is, he's down on his luck, and it looks like he'll stay that way forever. He also has a sick young son to look after.] [As for his job, well, it isn't exactly his dream job—just a dead-end job he found in a dead-end city.]

"What is this?" Batman froze. "Roland?"
