Five days remained until the meteor shower.
On the day they arrived in Mossdeep City, Mingyou and Akari finished unpacking, then took their Pokémon out to explore the city together.
Keldeo could finally go play at the seaside. He invited his good friends Lucario and Garchomp to go surfing, while Diancie refused to give up. She stuck close behind him, insisting that he teach her.
Watching the four of them together, Mingyou felt uneasy. "Don't lose her!"
"Lucario!"
"All right, then."
With Lucario along, Mingyou felt reasonably reassured. He settled into enjoying his holiday with Akari. Ogerpon knew better than to disturb the two of them and stayed with Meloetta instead.
Ogerpon sat on Miraidon's back as they wandered the streets with the invisible Meloetta. At this special time of year, Mossdeep City's residents knew how to do business. Local delicacies were everywhere.
There were also all kinds of meteor- and space-themed goods for sale. Ogerpon and Meloetta hardly knew where to look, but Miraidon wore an expression that said, Is that all?
After all, in the distant future, space exploration was an everyday thing. Miraidon could even break through the atmosphere on his own. He just didn't much like the deep, dark vacuum of space. It was too lonely.
Before long,
Ogerpon was happily sampling foods whose names she didn't even know, her arms full of them. Having a Rotom Phone was wonderful. Even if people couldn't understand her, she could communicate by typing.
Meloetta sat on Miraidon's head, eating a vanilla-flavored donut. It had been so long since she'd felt this relaxed. As her mind and body unwound, inspiration for a song came to her again. But it still wasn't enough... She needed so much more.
Maybe seeing the meteor shower will bring me some new inspiration?
