Bo Hanmo: ...
If I asked her for money now, would she hit me?
When Bo Hanmo went a long time without saying anything, Fang Yao grumbled impatiently to herself.
What the heck? Did he knock all that time just to stare at me?
Bo Hanmo stood in the hallway, listening to Fang Yao's thoughts. Her inner voice carried surprisingly far. Everyone who had yet to return to their rooms could hear it. The curious ones crept closer, and when they ran into others who were just as curious, they gathered around the corner together.
What was going on?? Was their big brother planning to seduce their sister-in-law?
Bo Zhe and Bo Miao were thrilled.
Just as Fang Yao was about to shut the door in a fit of embarrassed anger, Bo Hanmo spoke.
"Give me the money on your phone and the cash you have."
Fang Yao was stunned: !!!
Holy crap, I was just talking about this, and now it's actually happening?
Fang Yao's expression turned fierce. Anyone who wanted her money was her enemy.
"Do you want to make more money? Give it to me, and I'll arrange some investments for you. Guaranteed profits, no losses."
Fang Yao's little fist stopped short of hitting him. Bo Hanmo stared at the fist in front of his nose, while Bo Zhe and Bo Miao clung to each other, covering each other's mouths.
That was close! Their big brother had almost become a victim of domestic violence!
"What do you think?"
In her previous life, Fang Yao had worked for a living right up until she died. Honestly, it had been more than a little exhausting. This time around, she planned to lie back and do nothing.
Fang Yao wanted to cry as she looked at the balance on her phone and the digits after that first zero. Sob. :(
Even in this life, she would have to work for a few years before she could afford to coast along. But she couldn't bring herself to depend on Bo Hanmo's "handouts." Money was safer in her own name.
Living off the transfers and cash gifts she had received over the past two days until they ran out wasn't her style, either. She didn't know how to manage money herself, so Bo Hanmo's suggestion was seriously tempting.
How could a financial management book compare to a brilliant boss who was already a billionaire at such a young age and ran an entire corporation?
The more Fang Yao thought about it, the more it sounded workable. "All right. I have ten million here. Invest it for me."
???? Did this little woman not know how to count? If I'm not mistaken, Grandpa and Grandma transferred some spending money to her this afternoon, too.
Or was she saving some to keep a handsome young boy toy? At that thought, Bo Hanmo's face darkened.
"I need to keep some money on me to feel secure. Now I want to know how you can guarantee there won't be any losses. Even an investment newbie like me knows that all investments carry risks." Fang Yao raised her head and looked him earnestly in the eyes.
Bo Hanmo said, "Any losses are mine, and any profits are yours. I'll make sure nothing happens to your principal."
As long as she wasn't using it to keep a boy toy, she could keep some money on her. Bo Hanmo breathed an inward sigh of relief.
"Huh? Wouldn't that be too much trouble for you? I'll come see you in a bit, then."
Bang!
With that, Fang Yao shut her door. Bo Hanmo opened his mouth, staring at the door that had closed right in his face, then shook his head and left. He waited in his room for a while, but when Fang Yao still didn't come, he decided to take a shower.
Back in her room, Fang Yao flung herself onto the bed, gathered up the scattered bills, and rolled around a few times, clutching that sweet-smelling money.
Holding her precious cash, Fang Yao went to Bo Hanmo's door and knocked.
She frowned. What was going on? Had he fallen asleep?
Fang Yao kept knocking, and the door opened.
In that instant, a faint wave of steam washed over her, bringing a rush of masculine allure with it. Her irritation at getting no answer vanished at once.
Fang Yao felt a nosebleed coming on and covered her nose with both hands.
When Bo Hanmo heard the knock, he hastily ran a hand through his hair. Dressed in a bathrobe, his hair dripping wet, he opened the door while toweling it dry.
Droplets slid down his forehead, cheeks, and collarbones. His eyes were deep and bright, as though they held some mysterious power that made it impossible to look away. The heat had flushed his skin slightly, leaving it looking soft and warm. He radiated a fresh, clean scent that soothed the senses.
Damp from his shower, he had lost his usual stern, chilly air. As he dried his hair, the neckline of his bathrobe fell open far enough to reveal his chest.
Fang Yao's alluring eyes went perfectly round. She felt something trickling from her nose and swallowed involuntarily.

One, two, three, four...
Bo Hanmo looked at Fang Yao in puzzlement. What was she counting? Then he heard her slurp.
I must be the first woman to pass out from a nosebleed. Even if I do, it'll be worth it.
Oh my god, those shoulders, that chest, those abs! Oh my god, a full eight-pack! That body is incredible!!!
The little version of Fang Yao in her mind spun around with a bright red face, then flopped over in a faint.
Bo Hanmo raised an eyebrow. He hadn't expected the little woman in front of him to be such a little lecher. Without making it obvious, he tugged his robe a little farther open.
Then Bo Hanmo suddenly spotted his younger brother and sister around the corner. His composure faltered, and his cheeks flushed. He discreetly straightened up and exhaled, but didn't pull his robe closed, acting as though nothing were amiss.
What are you staring at? I wasn't trying to seduce her!
Hearing Fang Yao's bashful thoughts, Bo Zhe couldn't resist feeling his own abs. He lowered his hand awkwardly and decided he would start working out tomorrow.
Bo Miao grew envious when she heard Fang Yao's thoughts. When she found a husband someday, he absolutely had to have an eight-pack.
"I was showering, so it took me a little while to answer the door. Sorry."
"Huh? It's fine."
Nice, nice. Well done.
Fang Yao stood dazed for a moment, silently congratulated herself, then calmly moved her gaze away from Bo Hanmo's body.
The corner of Bo Hanmo's mouth twitched as he watched the little woman fool herself. "Have you decided?"
The two around the corner pricked up their ears.
"Yes. Some of it is here in cash. Give me a bank account number for the rest, and I'll see if I can transfer it all to you in one go tomorrow."
That subject made Fang Yao angry. They actually imposed transfer limits on working people and students like her.
(^w^)
The two of them: ...
"All right."
Something occurred to Fang Yao. She turned back, tilted her head at Bo Hanmo, and asked, "Can we choose an investment that pays dividends every month?"
A steady dividend payment coming in every month would give me the most peace of mind.
Bo Hanmo frowned. "If you need money, just use the card."
Bo Hanmo turned and placed a black card in Fang Yao's palm. She stared down at it, her little mouth forming a surprised O.
So this was the legendary black card!!!!
Oh my god, oh my god, it's a black card! But in TV shows, they love freezing these cards at the drop of a hat to threaten people. o(╥﹏╥)o Sob~ I don't want to become dependent on a black card and let you control me.
Money is safest in my own hands. I don't want to end up penniless.
Wait...
Bo Hanmo's eyes flickered as he heard the deep insecurity in Fang Yao's thoughts.
"All right. I'll transfer it to you on the first of every month. It's late. Get some rest."
"Okay. Good night. (¦3[▓▓]"
Bo Hanmo watched Fang Yao skip away without closing his door. Bo Zhe came over and tapped his shoulder. "Big brother, good thing you distracted her in time. Otherwise, she would've brought up leaving again."
