Fang Yao turned and dodged the man's hand. He frowned. Playing hard to get was one thing, but this was getting annoying.

Irritated as he was, the man kept smiling. He waggled his eyebrows. "Somewhere we can get to know each other better, of course. Don't worry, I'll take you shopping for a bag afterward."

He eyed Fang Yao's cheap bag with disdain. If she slept with him, she could pick out any bag she wanted.

"You mean a hotel, so I can sleep with you." Fang Yao got straight to the point, laying his filthy intentions bare.

The man froze for a moment, then laughed. "I like a little minx who says what she means. Come on."

Fang Yao smiled. "Sure."

With Fang Yao's agreement secured, the man followed leisurely behind her, his leering gaze roaming over her body.

"Aaah! You damned woman! How dare you hit me? Do you know who I am?"

"Hah! Why should I care who you are? You took me for a pushover? Do I look like a woman you can pick up? Have you ever seen one as gorgeous as me?" Fang Yao threw him over her shoulder and kicked him while he was down.

"Aaah! Pah! You asked for this. Take that!" The man wasn't one to take a beating lying down. She had only hit him because she'd caught him off guard.

He spat blood from his mouth and swung a fist at Fang Yao's head.

Bang! The man went flying and curled up on the ground.

"Young Madam, are you all right?" Big Head had sensed something was wrong when he heard her cursing. He'd told Little Head to pay and collect their things, then gone looking for her.

When he couldn't find her in the shop, he looked toward the entrance. The sight nearly scared the soul out of him. Someone was attacking Young Madam. Big Head rushed over and punched the man in the stomach.

"Big Head? Fang Yao? Why are you standing out here? Done shopping? Why's that guy on the ground? Is he sick?" Bo Zhe had just come upstairs with the milk tea he'd bought. Before he could hand it to Fang Yao, her words made him jump.

"This man hit on me and asked me to go to a hotel with him. He even offered to buy me a bag afterward. Sounds like a pretty good deal, doesn't it?" Fang Yao folded her arms and looked down at the man.

The man: Shit, that voice sounds familiar.

(•ิ_•ิ)?

Bo Zhe stared in shock. So did the Bodyguards. The bag in Bo Miao's hand fell to the ground. In the sudden silence, the man got to his feet.

"Pah! That hurt like hell. Think I'm scared just because you've got numbers on your side? I've got people too." He hauled himself up against the wall, still without getting a clear look at the people beside Fang Yao.

He hurt too much to place the familiar voice. All he wanted now was revenge. He'd tie Fang Yao to a bed and beat her while he—

Before he could open his phone, someone kicked him to the ground again.

"Fuck you! Have you got a death wish? You think you can hit on my sister-in-law?" Bo Zhe radiated fury. He rolled his wrists and laid into the man with punches and kicks, using everything he had.

Bo Miao checked Fang Yao over. "Are you all right? What did he do to you? Big Head, Little Head, beat him senseless!"

Bo Miao's eyes reddened with anger. She was gentle with Fang Yao, but her glare at the man was vicious. The shop staff and other onlookers pointed at him as he lay on the ground. He'd picked the wrong person to mess with. Served him right.

If it had been another woman, the shop assistants would have quietly warned her that the man was bad news and told her to leave.

Why hadn't they warned Fang Yao before she put him on the ground? Because they knew she was no ordinary customer. What ordinary person went shopping with Bodyguards?

They had heard the two Bodyguards call Fang Yao "Young Madam." And from what the young man had said, she seemed to be someone nobody could afford to cross. So the assistants stayed quiet and watched.

If the man on the ground turned out to be richer than Fang Yao's group, they could always testify for him—quietly, of course.

"Why are you pulling me away?" Bo Zhe and the Bodyguards were still venting their anger when someone dragged him back. He was about to snap, but the sight of Fang Yao extinguished his temper.

"You two stop as well. Stand over there. He didn't hit on you, so why are you hitting him? Let me do it." Fang Yao pushed all three of them away, ignoring their reactions.

The man tried to get up. She knocked him back down, and he groaned in pain.

Her words left the three men stunned. Did they have to be hit on and groped before they could throw a punch? Never mind. They listened to her fists thudding into flesh.

At first, it was satisfying. They cheered her on. Gradually, though, they grew frightened. Fang Yao had been hitting him for ages without breaking a sweat, and her breathing was steady.

The man, meanwhile, barely seemed to have an unbruised patch left on his body. His face was a bloody mess.

"Bo Zhe, that's enough. Go talk her down. She's going to kill him."

"I can't. She won't listen to us anymore. My brother—right, I'll call my brother." Bo Zhe had tried to step in, and Fang Yao had hit him.

The Bodyguards had tried too, only to be knocked down with a punch. Bo Miao and Bo Zhe could tell something was wrong with Fang Yao. Bo Zhe paced in a panic.

Then Bo Zhe realized his brother might be able to calm her down. He pulled out his phone and called Bo Hanmo over.

And now, back to the present.

Bo Hanmo looked at the man on the ground as though he were already dead. One gesture was enough for Assistant Fang to understand what his boss wanted.

"Come on, sweetheart. Sit down and rest a while." Bo Hanmo guided Fang Yao into the chair Assistant Fang had brought over.

What worried him was Bo Zhe's account of Fang Yao's strange state earlier. He feared the incident might leave her shaken.

Fang Yao nodded. "Don't listen to Bo Zhe. I'm fine. I just remembered some things from the past and took it out on that guy."

The guy she'd used as a punching bag had passed out, so he couldn't hear her. If he'd been conscious, her words might have made him faint all over again.

"All right. Is the milk tea good?" Bo Hanmo stroked Fang Yao's head fondly.

It's pretty good. It'd be even better if you'd stop touching my hair. I'm not a cat or a dog. Hmph.

Bo Hanmo smiled at the contradiction. She complained about his touch in her thoughts, yet her head nuzzled against his palm.

"It's good. You've already had a sip, so you can't have any more. The rest is mine." Seeing Bo Hanmo eye her milk tea, Fang Yao turned and tucked it against her chest.

Bo Hanmo looked at her guarding her drink. "Let me have one sip, and I'll buy you a fresh cup afterward. How about it?"

"Really?"

"Really."

"Then just a tiny sip. One tiny sip."

Fang Yao found the offer tempting. When she held up her fingers to show him a sip no bigger than a fingernail, Bo Hanmo burst out laughing.
