Background / History

Dragon God Guards Captain

Di Tian was born from the Dragon God bloodline with mastery over darkness and strength. After receiving the Dragon God’s personal baptism, he rose to command the Dragon God Guards. His standing was second only to the Dragon God and the Four Dragon Kings. His duties included patrolling the Dragon God’s Divine Domain, suppressing rebellious dragons, and defending the Dragon God Temple 42.

During the Dragon God War, Di Tian ordered the guards to evacuate the young dragons while he remained outside the temple. He defended it alone for seven days and nights despite grievous injuries. The Dragon God’s final command to him was to protect the Dragon Clan 43.

Destruction and Rebirth

The Dragon God’s fall and the collapse of the Divine Domain destroyed Di Tian’s divine body and shattered his soul. The Dragon God origin preserved the last fragment of his divine soul within its mark, allowing him to be reborn through the Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King bloodline. He began again as a young dragon, without his former power or complete memories 43.

Over hundreds of thousands of years, his cultivation and memories gradually returned. He searched for surviving pure-blooded dragons but initially found only scattered bloodline traces. At approximately 100,000 years of cultivation, he discovered the gravely wounded Silver Dragon King underground. Recognizing the Dragon God’s legacy within her, he kept watch until she awakened and then pledged his allegiance 43.

Guardian of the Silver Dragon King

Di Tian protected Gu Yuena while she restored her origin and helped rebuild the Soul Beast Clan. His service continued at the Lake of Life in the Star Dou Great Forest. His allegiance rests on her role as the bearer of the Dragon God’s surviving legacy, rather than simply on her superior strength 43.

Appearance

  • Dragon form: An enormous, long-bodied black dragon with golden eyes. His spread wings obscure a vast expanse of sky 17 41.
  • Scales: Pitch-black scales carry flowing dark-golden patterns 41.
  • Human form: A tall figure wearing long black robes, retaining his golden eyes 41 42.
  • Commander Seal: After its fusion, the Dragon God Guards Commander Seal remains visible between his brows 44 45.
  • Restored wings: Black wing membranes bear nine-colored markings, with space folding along their sides 45.

Personality

Di Tian’s defining trait is unwavering guardianship. He sacrifices his own safety for the Dragon Clan’s young and carries the Dragon God’s command across death, rebirth, and fragmented memories. Long Yao describes him as someone who may disregard his own life but will never abandon the Dragon Clan’s future 43.

He is confident in his strength and initially expects to rank second, believing that only his hidden master clearly surpasses him. Nevertheless, he acknowledges difficult opponents: the Evil Emperor’s mental abilities trouble him, and he considers the Snow Empress’s power in the Far North difficult to predict 17 26 41.

Toward Gu Yuena, he is deferential and disciplined. He promptly obeys her instructions and accepts her warnings about refining his restored power. He also speaks candidly to the other ferocious beasts about his lingering injuries, stating that he will continue cultivating even if the Golden Ranking does not repair them 3 44 45.

Abilities & Skills

Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King Bloodline

  • Grants exceptional physical strength, resilience, and draconic might. His aura causes Soul Beasts across the continent to lower themselves in submission 41 42.
  • Allows him to bear power beyond what his cultivation years alone would suggest 42.
  • His core strength does not diminish simply because he leaves the Star Dou Great Forest; unlike several ranked opponents, he does not require a particular terrain 41.
  • The Dragon God War left his bloodline incomplete and his origin unable to sustain his ancient peak power. His rewards repair that foundation, but full mastery still requires refinement 44 45 46.

Ultimate Darkness and Strength

  • Masters the ultimate darkness attribute and combines the origins of darkness and strength to sustain his combat power 42 44.
  • Forms defensive barriers from black Soul Power and releases powerful black dragon breath 18.
  • After his origin is reconnected, darkness and strength no longer repel each other and are joined by nine-colored Dragon God power 44.

Dragon God Claw

  • An inherited attack powerful enough to grievously wound beings below god level. Even after receiving the Evil God Crown, the Evil Emperor lacks confidence that he can withstand it 41.
  • Once wounds the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King with a single strike; the injury remains unhealed for hundreds of years before the whale’s own bloodline restoration 42.
  • Gains additional power from Di Tian’s repaired origin, the Commander Seal’s battle formation, and the Dragon God Wing Bone 45.
  • Its restored power disturbs space even before being fully released. Gu Yuena stops Di Tian from unleashing it over the Lake of Life 45.

Yin-Yang Complementary Dual Soul Cores

  • Possesses yin-yang complementary dual soul cores, identified alongside his bloodline, Dragon God Claw, and cultivation as foundations of his third-place strength 41.
  • Their specific operation is not explained in the provided account 41.

Dragon God Battle Formation

  • The Commander Seal summons three hundred Ancient Dragon Guard phantoms, each carrying a portion of Di Tian’s origin power 45.
  • These phantoms are remnants of the guards’ origins, not resurrected soldiers 45.
  • Their formation temporarily strengthens the Dragon God Claw. They cannot remain indefinitely, but can last long enough to deploy the formation once 45.
  • Di Tian can sustain the formation for seven breaths, which Gu Yuena considers sufficient to decide a battle 46.

Spatial Traversal

  • The Million-Year Dragon God Wing Bone lets Di Tian pass through gaps in space rather than relying solely on ordinary flight 45.
  • A gentle wingbeat carries him hundreds of miles from the Lake of Life; another returns him without leaving air currents or lingering spatial fluctuations 45.
  • His newly restored power is initially unstable enough to part the lake and open a deep chasm, which Gu Yuena closes 46.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Dragon God Mark — Originally bestowed by the Dragon God. Shelters Di Tian’s remnant soul after the war and preserves the foundation of his rebirth 42 43.
  • Dragon God Origin Dragon Blood — A nine-colored Golden Ranking reward that repairs his origin fracture, completes his bloodline, and awakens dormant Dragon God power 44 45.
  • Dragon God Guards Commander Seal — Restores his ancient command authority, can command surviving Dragon Clan bloodlines, and manifests guard phantoms for the Dragon God Battle Formation 44 45.
  • Million-Year Dragon God Wing Bone — Contains the Dragon God’s spatial power and darkness origin. Restores capabilities his reconstructed wings lacked, enhances flight and spatial traversal, and supports the battle formation 45.

Relationships

  • Dragon God — Former sovereign and commander. Personally empowered Di Tian and entrusted him with protecting the Dragon Clan, a duty that survives his rebirth 42 43.
  • Gu Yuena / Silver Dragon King — Liege and protected bearer of the Dragon God’s legacy. Their relationship combines Di Tian’s loyalty with her trust, support, and guidance 3 43 44 45.
  • Xiong Jun — Fellow ferocious beast who recognizes Di Tian’s authority and questions him about his ancient service, injuries, and restored abilities 41 42 44 45.
  • Scarlet King — Fellow ferocious beast who consults Di Tian about powerful opponents and the Dragon Clan’s history 15 42 43.
  • Bi Ji — Acknowledges Di Tian’s third-place ranking with congratulations and recognizes the importance of his service to Gu Yuena 41 43.
  • Myriad Demon King — Respects Di Tian’s strength and considers his placement among the top three unsurprising 41.
  • Evil Emperor — Rival who fought him over the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm. Di Tian gained the upper hand, but the Evil Emperor’s mental powers prevented a quick victory; Gu Yuena’s faint aura ultimately prompted the rival’s retreat 17 18.
  • Snow Empress — An acquaintance whose elemental nature he has witnessed firsthand. He reassesses her after the ranking reveals her time-affecting ice power and partnership with the Ice Empress 25 26.
  • Deep Sea Demonic Whale King — Previously repelled by Di Tian’s Dragon God Claw, leaving the whale with a lasting wound and respect for his strength 42.

Story Role / Major Arcs

  • Witness to the Golden Ranking: Watches its revelations under Gu Yuena’s orders. The rewards offered to other Soul Beasts stir both hope and envy, particularly the Snow Empress’s route beyond heavenly tribulations and Divine Realm restrictions 3 15 28.
  • Evil Emperor’s showcase: Appears in the ranking’s replay of their battle. He breaks mental restraints, survives the Light of Time and Space and Light of Destruction, and counters with dragon breath and claw strikes. Neither combatant falls 17 18.
  • Third-place revelation: His 890,000-year cultivation, bloodline, and hidden history become public. Heaven Dou restricts forest entry, while Dai Tianfeng judges that Di Tian alone could destroy border cities without a beast tide 41 42 43.
  • Restoration rewards: Receives blood, seal, and wing bone tailored to recovering his damaged inheritance. Qian Daoliu admits uncertainty about defeating him in the forest, while Bo Saixi believes he can threaten a true god-level opponent there 44 45.
  • Continued refinement: Accepts that restoration is not complete mastery and trains under Gu Yuena’s guidance to stabilize his bloodline, wings, and battle formation 45 46.
