Will Behrens began his first year at Hogwarts, where his exceptional magic brought him allies, rivalries, and the attention of Dumbledore and Quirrell. As Harry and his friends investigated the Philosopher’s Stone, Will focused on his studies and received a mysterious letter addressed to him as a son.
Will studied the connection between potions and spells, then returned to the Howard estate and discovered his ties to the Lestrange family and Vincent Behrens. After spending Christmas with Sylvia’s family and teaching Lupin, Will returned to Hogwarts, where he continued his Potions studies as Harry pursued Quirrell.
Will used Voldemort’s offer and the Black Diary to deepen his magical studies while navigating Harry’s transformation and the start of a new school year. After helping Harry reach Hogwarts and exposing Lockhart’s incompetence, Will turned his attention to Transfiguration and its limits.
Will pursued the nature of Magic while studying with McGonagall and investigating Tom Riddle’s Diary. After working with Dumbledore to uncover and destroy the Diary, Will began training with Moody and investigating how magic persisted in creatures and ghosts, then led the Weasley Brothers toward a remarkable place.
Will expanded his magical studies at the High Tower, then traveled to Egypt with Snape and became entangled in Nefertari’s attempt at Ascension. He escaped the collapsing ritual with a pact to help Nefertari in the future, then recovered and returned to England with Snape and Hobart.
Will infiltrated Voldemort’s plans while preparing a staged Basilisk attack that would make Harry a hero. Harry killed the Basilisk, but the confrontation exposed Will as Voldemort, and Hogwarts was left believing Harry might be dead.
Will secretly helped Voldemort exploit Harry’s supposed death while studying soul Transfiguration and completing a powerful Animagus transformation. After learning Harry could soon recover, Will sabotaged the Mandrakes and escaped the Greenhouse with Peter when Moody interrupted them.
After recovering, Harry reunites with his friends and faces a difficult summer before returning to Hogwarts. Will visits Malfoy Manor, discovers how to use his Time-Turner, and begins the school year amid ominous predictions and a Boggart that takes his own form.
Will rescued Harry from the Quidditch storm, developed a new rune-based Sleeping Charm, and published research that brought him attention and scrutiny from magical academics. Meanwhile, he sheltered Sirius at the Shrieking Shack, but Sirius broke into Gryffindor Tower looking for Scabbers, intensifying Hogwarts’s security and the hunt for him.
Will’s new runes and growing public reputation brought scrutiny, while his altered Patronus exposed a troubling connection to dark magic and his past. Meanwhile, Remus and Sirius reunited after Sirius revealed that Peter Pettigrew had betrayed the Potters and was hiding as Scabbers.
Will experimented with his altered Patronus, worked with Lupin and Dumbledore to expose Sirius Black’s innocence, and helped secure Harry’s Quidditch victory despite a Dementor attack. He then used the Time-Turner to return to September 1992 to improve his Memory Charm and address Peter’s memories.
Will helped expose Peter Pettigrew and clear Sirius Black, while pursuing the mysteries of memory, the Patronus Charm, and Joy Magic. After meeting Santa Claus and earning a Ministry honor, Will left the arc with new magical knowledge and continued questions about magic and emotion.
Will faced Dumbledore over his attacks on Muggle villages, then demonstrated his strength to Scrimgeour’s Aurors without seriously harming them. As the school year ended, he accepted a dangerous summer role connected to Voldemort, pursued research into time magic, and learned more about the Howard family’s Muggle influence.
Will returned to England, faced Voldemort’s demands, and entered the Triwizard Tournament while secretly cooperating with Dumbledore. The Goblet of Fire selected nine Champions, including Harry and Will, and the arc ended with Will preparing for the dangerous competition and growing closer to Sylvia.
Will mastered Soul Annihilation, helped Hogwarts dominate the First Task, and faced Dumbledore’s concerns about the damage his Dark Magic could cause. As tensions with Durmstrang rose, the students began preparing for the Yule Ball, and Will and Sylvia agreed to go together.
Will and Sylvia shared a memorable Yule Ball before Will won the Second Task and learned more about Voldemort’s plans for time travel. Dumbledore began training Will for the coming danger, while the story ended with Barty Crouch captured after attacking Harry and Krum.
Will helped Dumbledore recover Slytherin’s Locket and continued experimenting on Karkaroff while Voldemort’s plans unfolded around the tournament. On June 24, the champions entered the shifting maze, where Harry and Cedric faced danger and Will confronted Sophie Robert.
Will was sent centuries into the past when the Time-Turner shattered, where he studied magic and investigated werewolf transformation while trying to avoid time’s retaliation. In the present, Voldemort returned and ordered the Death Eaters to find Will and prepare to free their followers from Azkaban.
Will followed Depty’s discovery of Ancient Magic while using Ranrok to search for the Repositories and studying the power himself. After Depty killed Ranrok and sealed the Final Repository, Will completed a new Ancient Magic construct, but time’s distortion transformed him into a Phoenix and left him stranded aboard a ship in 1901.
Will returned from Voldemort’s resurrection and worked with Dumbledore to keep his role as a Double Agent secret while he studied magic and prepared for Voldemort’s plans. He warned the Lestranges, built his strength over the summer, and kept his distance from Harry, who began training under Dumbledore.
