The Hogwarts Express gradually slowed, finally coming to a smooth stop at the platform.
Harry quickly pulled out his quill and a sheet of parchment and scribbled down a string of numbers.
"This is the telephone number." Harry hurriedly tore the paper into several slips and handed them around, his eyes shining with hope.
"Jerry, you and Hermione should know how to use this number."
Then Harry turned to Ron with a slight smile. "Last summer, I explained to Mr. Weasley exactly how to use a telephone, so he should understand. Make sure you call me, all right? Otherwise, I'll have no one but Dudley to talk to all summer. I couldn't stand that!"
"Don't worry, Harry! We'll call you!" Ron reassured him. They crowded off the train and joined the bustling throng, slowly making their way toward the enchanted barrier. Finally, they passed through the exit together and returned to the Muggle world.
Inside the station, Jerry said goodbye to Mr. and Mrs. Granger and to Hermione, who clung to his hand, reluctant to let him leave. Then he turned toward a quiet corner. After a short wait, a black car pulled up in front of him.
"Your Eminence, I'm terribly sorry to have kept you waiting!" A young member of the Apostles stepped out of the car and took Jerry's luggage, his words full of reverence.
"It's fine!" Jerry shook his head lightly, then asked, "Where is Catherine now?"
"Miss Fawley is already waiting for you at the appointed destination," the Apostle replied respectfully.
Jerry gave a slight nod and got into the car. Leaning back against the soft rear seat, he closed his eyes and began to meditate, considering his plans for the coming summer vacation.
