He secretly traveled to investigate the Crimson Flood Dragon, forged a lifebound sword, and arrived at a poetry gathering where Qingyun and Demonic Sect factions crossed paths.

• Ji Changfeng killed Yuyangzi, then shielded Zhang Xiaofan from Daoxuan’s Immortal Slaying Sword and was sentenced to ten years in Illusory Moon Cave.
• Daoxuan named Ji Changfeng his successor, Cang Song confessed his crimes and was confined at the Ancestral Hall, and Qi Hao was chosen to succeed him as Dragon Head Peak’s master.
• Ji Changfeng healed Six-tailed Fox, gave Tian Buyi and Su Ru his cultivation manuals, and learned that Lu Xueqi had entered seclusion on Xiaozhu Peak.
• Wan Renwang sought a way to restore Kui Niu, while Immortal Fairy Sanmiao sent Jin Ping'er to obtain the Lovesick Bell and recover the Joyous Union Sect’s inheritance.

Ji Changfeng killed the Crimson Flood Dragon, helped Jin Ping'er reclaim the Hehuan Orthodox inheritance, and brought her to Qingyun Sect to establish the Xuanzha Sect. As the Peak Masters approved her plan, Ji Changfeng reunited with Lu Xueqi and created a sword technique for her.

• Ji Changfeng won Jin Ping'er's poetry contest, learned the Crimson Flood Dragon's whereabouts, and discovered she sought the Lovesick Bell and the Joyous Union Sect's lost inheritance.
• The Crimson Flood Dragon reached Crimson Water City at Upper Clarity Realm, and Ji Changfeng summoned the Red Brazier Sword, killed it, and let Qin Wuyan escape.
• Ji Changfeng bought Jin Ping'er's freedom and accompanied her to Liubo Mountain, where he held off the Joyous Union Sect elders while she sought the inheritance.

Ji Changfeng helped Jin Ping'er establish the Xuanzha Sect, proposed to Lu Xueqi, and entered seclusion to pursue the Grand Purity Realm. Nine years later, he emerged at Grand Purity and reunited with Lu Xueqi.

• Jin Ping'er visited Xiaozhu Peak, where Lu Xueqi met her and heard that Ji Changfeng had called her the love of his life.
• Ji Changfeng took Lu Xueqi and Jin Ping'er to Liubo Mountain, where Lu Xueqi killed a hidden Longevity Hall elder and the three emptied the Joyous Union Sect treasury.

Ji Changfeng rescued Xiaobai from Incense Valley, learned of the Beast God’s origins, and brought her back to Qingyun Sect. As his succession ceremony approached, Xiaobai reunited with her son and met Lu Xueqi.

• Ji Changfeng revealed his Grand Purity cultivation, accepted the Peak Masters’ support as Qingyun Sect’s next leader, and arranged his succession ceremony for three months later.
• Ji Changfeng visited Lu Xueqi and Jin Ping'er, then received permission from True Master Daoxuan to travel south and investigate Incense Valley and the Demonic Sect.
• At an abandoned temple, Ji Changfeng overheard Lü Shun and the Merfolk Tribe Great Priest discuss the Heavenly Emperor’s Nether Stone and a treasure in the Western Death Swamp.
• Ji Changfeng defeated Incense Valley’s defenders, freed Xiaobai from the Profound Fire Altar, and destroyed the Eight Fiends Profound Fire Array.
• Xiaobai told Ji Changfeng why she had helped the Ancient Witch Tribe reclaim the Profound Fire Mirror, then guided him to the Demon Suppressing Ancient Cave.
• Ji Changfeng and Xiaobai met the Beast God, who revealed that Witch Maiden Linglong had created him and sealed him in the cave after he escaped her control.
• Ji Changfeng persuaded Xiaobai to come to Qingyun Sect, where True Master Daoxuan accepted her as a Mountain Guardian Elder and learned that Incense Valley sought to revive the Beast God.
