Led by Yao and Screw, the Frost Elves really did avoid countless powerful Void Beasts and natural traps in the perilous Bone Mountains.
An hour later.
The two guides brought them to the foot of the towering mountains.
Then they entered a cave below.
The man-made cave appeared to be a ruin at least several centuries old.
Though traces of construction remained everywhere, rust and moss covered it all...
What puzzled them was that no Void Beasts had nested or spun webs in such a huge cave.
Yao explained from the front, "Our master says this was once a band of villains' base."
"Later, they conducted unauthorized experiments on the Void Abyss and suffered divine punishment. The entire site was abandoned."
Yao deliberately left unclear whose divine power had punished them.
"The power of the Void Abyss is so concentrated here that Void Beasts refuse to approach."
Though Void Beasts were products of the Void Abyss, the strange, frenzied creatures had an instinctive fear of its power.
Many suspected the Void Beasts had not arisen through natural crossbreeding.
Instead, they were biological weapons bred by certain groups.
Their creators had therefore marked the power of the Void Abyss as something to avoid.
That way, they could greatly reduce their own losses when unleashing indiscriminate beast tides.
While the Frost Elves looked on in shock and admiration, the group reached the depths of the cave.
After several twists and turns, Yao wiped a nearby screen clean and began entering an extraordinarily complicated series of passwords.
When he finished, the massive hydraulic door ahead opened.
Everyone immediately sensed an intense aura of souls.
It was so enticing that every Frost Elf instantly knew what lay inside.
The Frost Elves were like starving refugees, ravenous with hunger.
Their bodies craved sugar and carbohydrates.
