The name worried the Players, but it did not shock them.
The Shadow King was one of the great overlords of the Dark Universe and the Void Abyss. For years, he had fought the Goddess of Black Cinders over the Divine Authority of "darkness."
By the very nature of that Divine Authority, their conflict could end only with one side's destruction.
His Shadow Legion was also the Black Sun Group's greatest enemy in the entire Mountain River Star Sector.
The Players had long since prepared to fight an enemy like him.
They just hadn't expected him to strike so soon.
And he had chosen a vicious moment: right in the middle of this critical Dark Universe Jump.
Mountain Dog's body was splitting further and further apart. Even his tongue had divided down the middle.
A moment ago, the two had been fighting for control of his mouth. Now they could curse at the same time.
When the dark figure saw Su Yi, it snarled, "Your company's people have no sense of caution at all."
"One pretty face, and you can't even keep walking!"
Su Yi narrowed his eyes at the figure. "For an Electronic Demon, you talk too much."
"Or are you not an Electronic Demon at all? Just a string of Corruption Code?"
Electronic Demons were among the Shadow King's servants.
They were transformed from the souls of intelligent beings lost in the Dark Universe. They had almost no will of their own, only madness and distortion.
Over time, they became part of the Shadow King and wandered endlessly through the Void Abyss and the Dark Universe.
Their forms consisted entirely of energy and code.
In the ordinary Material World, they could do almost no harm.
