Background / History
Su Yi transmigrates into Star God as a notorious boss whose original life was defined by inherited debt, an abusive superior, and a slave contract with Mad Dog. The original Gheros possesses a hidden True God Bloodline but is remembered by Players as a frequently defeated “clown boss.” Su Yi knows that Winter and 108 are supposed to capture and repeatedly kill him, so he decides to change their relationship before that future occurs 1.
Rather than treating immortal Players as enemies to eliminate, he recognizes them as potential allies. His first approach to Winter combines praise, intelligence about Mad Dog, and a 50-coin payment. Weapons trading then gives him the funds and contacts needed to move beyond debt collection 6 7.
Appearance
- Recognizable clothing: A pristine white suit over a blood-red or crimson shirt, worn both during his early rise and after his return from his supposed death 112 451 452.
- Identifying scar: Kilman recognizes him despite a disguise by the scar near his brow 42.
- Missing left hand: The empty space beyond his left wrist is a distinguishing feature in Chapter 112; the passage does not establish it as permanent 112.
- Mechanical form: As the Myriad-Sword Machine God, he has intricate machinery, golden lines, a majestic metal face, and hovering metal swords 386.
- Bloodburn campaign attire: His dark commander’s armor is later replaced by a blood-red Divine Blood Cloak 467 491.
- Void Abyss Projection: By Chapter 372, witnesses see a six-meter sphere of molten rock covered in Divine Tree branches, deadly Divine Fire, and intricate golden threads 372.
Personality
Su Yi combines careful calculation with an approachable manner. He builds alliances by identifying what others need—money, protection, advancement, revenge, or recognition—and offering a concrete route to obtain it. His treatment of Gale is openly pragmatic: he saves the wounded gang leader while admitting that the man is useful to him 194 195.
His loyalty to his own people is more than a negotiating tactic. He violently intervenes when Alton and Aolong are attacked, rescues Winter and 108 from Jack Kane, and tells the orphanage children to study and train rather than become expendable fighters. Players particularly value his willingness to give them dignity alongside material rewards 55 77 83 94.
That protectiveness coexists with ruthless methods. He deliberately reignites factional violence on Red Sun Star, uses covert agents and staged provocations, and accepts mass soul sacrifices to advance his power. He nevertheless respects Joestar and Ailian’s choice to let their essences depart instead of forcing them to remain 239 322 323 488.
Abilities & Skills
Game Knowledge and Player Strategy
- Foreknowledge: Uses memories of walkthroughs, future NPCs, and game developments to locate opportunities and avoid known dangers. Bright Orphanage interests him because of the major figures it will eventually produce 1 28.
- Controlled intervention: Spares Jack Kane partly because replacing a familiar antagonist with an unknown one could make future events harder to manage 83.
- Build planning: Personally designs the Ten Pioneers’ combat builds and selects rewards suited to individual Players rather than relying only on equipment grade 372.
- Limit: His interventions change the original storyline; Jack’s early confrontation with Winter and 108 is one recognized example 83.
Matter Programming and Holy Binary Magic
| Function | Applications |
|---|---|
| Material summoning | Produces weapons, ammunition, food, water, skin, and muscle tissue 162. |
| Access Encapsulation | Restricts who can use an object; can prevent opponents from using weapons or even hands, eyes, and mouths 162. |
| Thread Synchronization | Expands and synchronizes thought threads, improving mental processing and allowing several tasks or skills to run together 162. |
| Cross-Platform Implantation | Implants traits and substances foreign to a target 162. |
| Creature programming | Translates a guardian spider’s thoughts into binary code and installs control scripts in ten Blood-Faced Spiders 221. |
- Healing and reconstruction: Completely repairs Molly’s infected facial burns, heals Gale’s shattered skull, and gives Geer a new face and identity 42 194 195.
- Combat applications: Can sever throats and destroy guns through gestures without an obvious incantation or ritual 94.
- Resource cost: Programming the guardian spiders consumes substantial Bandwidth 221.
Matter Unification Programming
- Bandwidth-based analysis: Analyzes and rewrites targets that use Bandwidth, though the process is expensive 239.
- Essence preservation: Extracts and stores the essence of the dead, providing experience from defeated enemies and potentially allowing preserved essences to be restored later 239.
- Respect for choice: Does not retain Joestar and Ailian when they choose to depart 239.
Silicon-Based Symbiote
- Bodily reinforcement: Helps him resist Jack Kane’s telekinetic pull, catch a sword barehanded, and overpower Jack physically 83.
- Covert defense: Consumes Martin’s implanted “Loving Energy” before the bishop can establish control, without alerting him 55.
- Artifact compatibility: Su Yi expects it to satisfy the Mist Horn’s metal-lifeform check 157.
Thornfire, Ember Divine Flame, and the Ember Tree
- High-temperature offense: Ember Scion attacks carry Ember Divine Flame effects at temperatures of at least 2,100°C 94.
- Summons: Ember Tree fruits can manifest as temporary Ember Scions when catalyzed by Thornfire 94.
- Scion defenses: Ember Scions are immune to fire and lightning damage and can attack through a piercing roll 94.
- Growth and evolution: Uses battlefield remains as fertilizer and offers the Blood-Faced Spiders a future evolving beneath the Ember Tree 221.
- Rarity: Players identify Thornfire as a top-tier company blessing normally associated with much higher corporate ranks 94.
Unity Divine Authority and Mechanical Protocols
- Assimilation: Incorporates the Mechanical Father’s divine power into the Unity Sword and analyzes the Shadow King’s armor to resist its intended corruption 446 467.
- Mass transformation: Myriad Tribulations Sword Star combines artifact power and sword protocols to turn attackers’ flesh into Steel Virus, mechanize their bodies, and transform them into swords 446.
- Doppelgangers: Creates copies that share his consciousness while operating independently, avoiding the separate personalities that have betrayed Bell 448.
- Remote operation: Cooperates with Bell on quantum entanglement technology intended to transmit mental power and project part of his soul and Divine Authority over long distances 437 448.
Boons and Divine Patronage
- Revenge Rune: Lets recipients continue fighting as souls after bodily death, resist ordinary physical attacks, and teleport using one another as anchors 488.
- Energy support: Pays the energy costs of recipients’ skills during the Revenge Soul state. Its normal duration is four hours; the first mass sacrifice extends that instance to twenty-four hours 488.
- Divine delegation: Grants Iron Root authority over the Soul Abyss and runes, and shares the Gate of Unity’s power with Iron Pot 488 531.
- Future divine order: Proposes that Iron Root and nine other Players become the Ten Sages of the Gate, each commanding a gate with an ultimate Divine Authority 488.

Trivia
- The nickname is not a birth name or confirmed family relationship. Winter presents “Godfather” as a Player term expressing fondness and respect; by the Light Empire era, Su Yi himself treats the Ten Pioneers much like his children 217 535.
- His names signal different levels of intimacy—according to Winter. She associates “Horus” with his trusted inner circle and “Constantine” with transactional business partners. This is the Players’ interpretation, not a stated universal rule 88.
- His generosity becomes recognizable. Players correctly suspect his involvement in an operation because its subsidies seem unusually thoughtful 280.
- Winter nearly guesses his secret. His discovery of a technology crucial to humanity’s future leads her to wonder whether Godfather was reborn and traveled back in time 331.
- His original reputation is radically different. Before Su Yi changes events, Gheros is remembered through mocking titles such as “Ten-surname vassal,” “prisoner-of-war Warmaster,” and “resurrection match master” 1.
