The moment Xu Mu figured it out, he shouted with excitement and nearly charged straight back into the tree hollow.

Fortunately, reason stopped him.

With a thunderous crash, the enormous figure leaped out of the fog and landed in front of Xu Mu!

Xu Mu had no time to think. He made out its shape, then burst into curses.

"You lousy system, you're screwing me over!"

"Battle Entei in Viridian Forest with Greninja? I thought that mission was a joke!"

"You were serious?!"

"Damn it, if I die here today, I swear I'll never be a Trainer again!"

That was right. The figure in the fog was Entei!

Just like that, out of nowhere and for no apparent reason, Entei had really shown up.

Xu Mu felt sick to his stomach.

What the hell is this system?

Can it control Entei or something?

Wait, if it's that powerful, why pick me as its host? Why not just conquer the world itself?

While Xu Mu's thoughts ran wild, Entei stepped forward, giving him no more time to speculate.

Entei had a fiery temper to begin with. How could it turn down a challenge from another Pokémon?

Seeing Entei and Greninja bristling at each other, ready to fight at any moment, Xu Mu silently cursed the lousy system.

By now, Greninja was beginning to resemble Naruto Uzumaki in Shippuden.

The shadows summoned by Shadow Clone Technique weren't mere illusions. They were clones with real energy!

It wasn't just one Greninja using Water Spiral Shuriken. There were more than a dozen!

In an instant, over thirty shuriken blasted forward, knocking Entei back mid–Sacred Fire!

And that frog just overpowered it head-on?

Greninja ignored Entei's shock and pressed its advantage!

The clones, drained of energy after using Water Spiral Shuriken, began to vanish into the air. But before they disappeared, they stacked themselves into a human ladder and launched Greninja skyward!

Greninja plunged from above, gravity pulling it down as water wrapped around its body. A palm strike descended from the heavens!

All right, it was just Surf...

Entei couldn't dodge in time. Greninja's attack hit it head-on!

It hurt!

It really hurt!

"Rrr!"

Entei howled in pain!

Its head was ringing.

[You've made me angry, you bastard!]

After that threat, Entei was done holding back!

First came a mighty roar. Then, with Roar bolstering its presence, Entei stamped its foot hard!

Cracks spread across the ground!

Deep crimson flames began to burn around Entei's body!
