Despite the scorching summer heat, the visitors' enthusiasm was at an all-time high. The water park attractions in particular were packed.
Fubuki's group spent until three or four in the afternoon on the rides. With so many visitors, though, every attraction had a long line, so they only managed seven or eight in total. One or two of those were rides Fubuki and the others had no interest in, but Tatsumaki had insisted on trying them.
Fubuki, Luke, and the others didn't seem to have had their fill, but Tatsumaki and Sugar Baby were having a blast. On the bumper cars, Tatsumaki and Sugar Baby teamed up against Crash Boy and Yoshiko, and the two sides went at it with gusto.
Tatsumaki's driving was atrocious. She kept missing Crash Boy's car, while he showed a remarkable knack for the game. Though he had never touched anything like a bumper car before, he picked up the controls in no time.
Whenever Tatsumaki charged straight at him, Crash Boy dodged at the last second, spun his car around, and rammed her from behind again and again.
Tatsumaki enjoyed it the first couple of times. After the same thing happened over and over, though, she started getting worked up.
So she floored it and launched another attack on Crash Boy and Yoshiko.
In the passenger seat, Sugar Baby clenched her little fists, excitement plain on her flushed face. "Go, Tatsumaki! Smash them!"
Crash Boy gave a confident snort, failing to notice the sly smile on Tatsumaki's face.
As before, Tatsumaki drove straight toward Crash Boy's bumper car without the slightest attempt to turn.
Crash Boy hurriedly turned the steering wheel. To his astonishment, even with the wheel turned as far as it would go, his car didn't budge.
