Background and History

Rorschach arrived in a world dominated by Vought’s celebrity superheroes and inherited the possessions of the body he occupied. He initially wanted a comfortable life, but Homelander’s recklessness and the danger posed by unchecked Supes convinced him to build the strength to survive. An activated system gave him character contacts and missions, including an ultimate objective to destroy Homelander physically and psychologically and expose him to the world 1.

His first intervention kept Hughie and Robin inside an electronics shop when A-Train would otherwise have killed Robin. He then used Unjust Game to interrupt The Deep’s harassment of Starlight. By provoking The Deep and anonymously taunting Homelander about his origins, Rorschach learned that unsettling Supes could earn him system points 1 2 3 4.

Rorschach recruited Butcher, Frenchie, and Marvin for a campaign built around intelligence and public exposure. Their footage of The Deep’s gills went viral and drove him from The Seven; later operations contributed to A-Train’s downfall. Rorschach’s aim expanded beyond defeating Homelander: he wanted to expose Compound V and dismantle the system that manufactured and marketed superheroes 5 6 7 15 29.

He rescued Kimiko and helped reunite her with her brother, Mouse. He also led the operation that freed Becca and Ryan from Vought’s custody. As the conflict escalated, he obtained evidence from Sage Grove Hospital, used Stormfront’s concealed past to secure the team’s escape, and leaked evidence against her and Homelander 15 35 40 45 46 50.

Appearance

Rorschach initially appears physically ordinary even to Starlight, despite being tall enough to stand out in Hughie’s shop 1 3.

Rorschach is patient and calculating, preferring surveillance, leverage, and a controlled opening to a direct fight he might lose. He repeatedly reins in Butcher’s and Marvin’s urge to kill a target immediately, while keeping much of his own plan from the team 5 6 8 17.

His restraint has limits. He coerces Translucent with nanobots, treats allies as pieces in his strategy, and is cold about A-Train’s death. At the same time, he risks his saved points to protect the plane’s passengers, seeks protection for his teammates’ families, and tells Ryan that he need not become anyone else’s symbol or asset 18 26 30 43 47.
