Meixia and the others, having received Chronoa's gift of time energy, seemed to have been reborn. Their thoughts became clearer, and when they looked upon their own pasts, it was like watching a movie. Every detail was plainly visible, even things they themselves had forgotten.
The feeling of viewing their own pasts from a third-person perspective was remarkably novel.
That wondrous sensation lasted until the time energy had completely merged into their bodies.
With a soft hum, Meixia opened her brilliant pale-golden eyes. Grass-green energy swirled around her, making her seem almost ethereal. Her bright eyes and lovely features radiated boundless beauty.
She looked around and discovered that everyone else had already awakened. She was the last one to wake up.
Chronoa's gaze fell upon her, and she smiled faintly. "Meixia's past is rather complicated, so she consumed more time energy. Once the fusion is complete, you'll need to familiarize yourself with your power again."
Knowing that her condition had been seen through, Meixia looked at Chronoa somewhat embarrassedly.
"Sis, how does it feel?" April asked with a smile.
Recalling the feeling from before, Meixia's serene face broke into a gentle smile. "It feels wonderful. Now, no one can hurt me in the past."
Only after truly becoming a member of the Time Patrol did one realize that the deadliest attacks did not come from the present, but from the past. Even if an attack in the present caused severe injury or death, one could still be revived with the Dragon Balls. But if one was erased from the past, that was true death—one that not even the Dragon Balls could reverse.
Fortunately, they no longer had that hidden danger.
