However lifelike they were, illusions could not leave marks on Blue Star the way real events could. But the power he displayed was so far beyond anything people knew, and fit so well with Blue Star's ancient myths, that countless people believed in it instinctively. The governments of Blue Star also dared not risk offending the gods by questioning them, and each suppressed such claims. That was why the doubts had caused barely a ripple.
