"Hm? The Corrupted God?"
In a stretch of space beyond the reach of human technology, Jiang Hao's thoughts stirred.
He had intended to bring out another incarnation of the King in Yellow. Compared with an Evil God known only from written accounts, the King in Yellow had appeared before and brought humanity a terrible disaster. He was better suited to rousing fear and panic in people's hearts, allowing Jiang Hao to use those vast emotions to twist and corrupt part of the Lord of Omniscience's consciousness.
But after hearing what the experts had said, he suddenly felt that the Corrupted God would be an even better choice.
After all, compared with the King in Yellow, the Corrupted God was far more terrifying, both in status and in what his existence implied.
The only problem was that the Corrupted God had been invented by Cthulhu enthusiasts. He was a fan-made addition to the Cthulhu Mythos.
But Jiang Hao did not care.
Once the Corrupted God appeared, countless people would come up with their own explanations for why he was real.
Never underestimate the hold the phrase "if it exists, it must be reasonable" had on people.
"And that Artificial God Project... I've only been gone a little while. Has American technology already advanced far enough to create a god?"
With a thought, he swept through the Fate of all Blue Star, taking the next ten years into his mind.
"So that's what their so-called Artificial God is."
"I can put it to good use."
Inside a high-tech laboratory, an old man in a white coat had just hung up the phone.
"The progress of the Artificial God Project?"
"Everything's ready, but do we really have to start now?"
The old man raised a hand and gently tapped his aching head.
