Night gave way to dawn, and the first light rose!
Endless Radiance poured down from the sun, turning all of Graycastle into a world of light.
Amid the Radiance, the wings behind Fulgres folded away. His clothes became a holy robe, brilliant light flowing across it.
His features shifted into a different, handsome face, and an indescribable majesty radiated from him.
Wilmot lowered his eyes and knelt on one knee. He pressed a clenched fist to the ground and said respectfully:
"My lord!"
"The Lord of Dawn, Divine Descent..."
Archbishop Barnis, who had just broken free of Wilmot's blazing fist, cast a fearful glance at him. His skin burst apart, revealing a green worm crouched in his place.
Before he could move, several tentacles shot out, wrapped around him, and pulled him into the writhing flesh.
He fled.
"Divine Descent... A god has descended."
Avram Krell closed his eyes.
Until one became a Demigod, one could not look directly upon God.
He relied on his extraordinary senses to avoid obstacles, but inwardly, he was shaken.
A god had descended upon Graycastle.
What happened over there? Was this arranged by the one who hosted the gathering? If so, he's truly remarkable.
Jiang Hao looked away. Even through the Eye of Horus, he could not be sure the Lord of Dawn would fail to discover who was watching him.
If the Lord of Dawn found him, the conflict between the Lord of Dawn and the Church of Knowledge might turn into the Lord of Dawn coming after him instead.
And it was... Divine Descent. Sure enough, if I use the Wheel of Fortune to alter Fate without specifying an outcome, anything can happen.
But now that the Lord of Dawn has used Divine Descent, can the God of Knowledge be far behind?
