Yongye rejected the Heroes' Conference and urged the factions to destroy the other Earth's planet, then left after they opposed him. Back at the Eye Society headquarters, he learned his departure had earned him a Super Blind Box and opened it.
Yongye gained the Phoenix Force, which transformed his body and expanded his psychic perception across the planet. As the public speculated about his absence from the heroes’ conference, he decided to make Fusang suffer a little more.
Yongye arranged for Tamamo-no-Mae to summon Nōhime to Manhattan, intending to use her status as Oda Nobunaga’s wife alongside Asano Nene’s to advance his plans. As the television announced the Heroes’ Conference teams, a Wood Clone of Yongye slipped away unnoticed.
Yongye invited Lois Lane to his apartment for an exclusive interview, but made her wait while they went into the bedroom. When Nōhime arrived, Yongye ordered her to massage him in front of Lois’s camera, leaving her to endure another public humiliation.
Yongye explained to Lois why he had skipped the Heroes' Conference, dismissing its cautious approach to the Multiversal Incursion and claiming he was busy helping Nōhime and Asano Nene. He left both women massaging him while Lois continued her interview, visibly skeptical of his explanation.
Lois interviewed Yongye about his belief that the other Earth’s Professor X planned to destroy their world and his decision to wait for the Superheroes to fail. After Lois left, Yongye resumed instructing Nōhime and Asano Nene, while the broadcast of the interview caused a worldwide online frenzy.
Yongye’s public treatment of Nōhime and Asano Nene sparked worldwide ridicule and humiliation for Fusang and Takamagahara. In the Divine Council Hall, Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi lost their restraint and set out to kill Yongye.
Amaterasu-Ōmikami stopped Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi from attacking Yongye, planning instead to lure him to Takamagahara. After sending Selina Kyle to question the X-Men about Spider-Man, Yongye gained Ultimate Authority over Takamagahara and prepared to confront Amaterasu-Ōmikami and Kaguya-hime.
Jean Grey secretly used her telepathy to assess the heroes of this Earth and discovered that their strength far surpassed the X-Men’s, while Yongye’s true power remained an unreadable abyss. She returned to the surface conversation without revealing her alarm.
The Delegation visited the X-Men’s world and saw the memorials and school that reflected the persecution mutants had endured. At Xavier’s School, Charles welcomed them and described the X-Men’s sacrifices, while Jean concealed her growing fear about his true intentions.
Selina tested Charles and Storm by asking whether they remembered Spider-Man, but Charles had already read the question from her mind and arranged their denial in advance. Batman noticed their answers seemed rehearsed, yet Charles redirected him with a question about mutants, and Batman forgot why he had looked toward Cyborg.
During the talks at Xavier School, Charles secretly used telepathy to cover Batman’s suspicions, while Yongye watched from outside. Yongye then sensed a barely living Spider-Man-like presence beneath the school and entered the sealed cellar where it lay.
Yongye used his Sharingan to uncover Peter Parker’s memories of the X-Men destroying his Earth during a doomed attempt to stop a multiversal incursion. He left Peter asleep and decided to exploit the revelation to seek justice and destroy the other Earth.
The X-Men planned to stop the multiversal incursion by destroying the other Earth, but first they needed to eliminate Yongye, whose retaliation could threaten their world. Jean proposed using Rogue and Blink in a honey trap, with Rogue’s power striking Yongye and Blink escaping with her.
