Background / History

Clear Sky Sect and Ascension

Tang Hao was the Clear Sky Douluo of ten thousand years earlier. The narration attributes his expulsion from the Clear Sky Sect to his relationship with Ah Yin, the resulting conflict with Spirit Hall, and his father’s death. Qian Daoliu also hunted him during that era 27 31 45.

After Tang San became a god, he brought Tang Hao and Ah Yin to the Douluo God Realm. Both acquired Divine Official-level strength and eternal life. When they subsequently disappeared from the Sea God Hall, Tang San told his companions that his parents had retired somewhere quiet 33.

The Golden Ancient Tree

Tang Hao and Ah Yin secretly returned to the Douluo Plane as part of Tang San’s plan to control the plane and expand his influence over the Divine Realm’s faith resources. They remained within Shrek Academy’s Golden Ancient Tree for ten thousand years. During that time, Tang Hao attempted to seize part of the plane’s will, giving his Clear Sky Hammer seven-colored radiance 34 38 40.

Their rise to Third-Level God strength was exposed when the tree collapsed. Having witnessed the tree devouring mortal souls, the God of Destruction accused them of consuming large numbers of people, potentially including gifted mortals capable of becoming gods. Tang San’s reaction confirmed that his concealed arrangements had been uncovered 33.

Siege of Shrek and Divine Defeat

Event Details
Isolation within the tree Feng Xuanyuan’s seal cuts off contact with Tang San. Tang Hao and Ah Yin tremble at the prospect of losing the tree they depend on and demand their son’s intervention 20.
Exposure Xu Yi’s assault on the Golden Ancient Tree forces the couple into the open, revealing their Third-Level God strength 31 33.
Battle with Bibi Dong Tang Hao’s Great Sumeru Hammer fails against her corrosive Rakshasa power. She bisects him at the waist; Ah Yin’s life-force infusion repairs most, but not all, of the damage 35 38.
Eternal Creation Tang Hao detonates a divine ring, but his strengthened hammer cannot intercept Bibi Dong’s skill. It wounds both him and Ah Yin and continuously drains their divine power and vitality 38 40.
Flagship attack Xu Yi launches the Divine Flame Xuanyuan Sword from the flagship’s cannon. It cleaves Tang Hao’s hammer, pierces both spouses, and pins them to the tree’s remaining stump 40.
Ma Hongjun’s intervention Ma Hongjun removes the sword and expels Eternal Creation with Phoenix God power, allowing the couple to begin healing 41.
Loss of Godhood Feng Xuanyuan condemns their interference in the lower realm and destroys their Godhoods. Tang San’s divine-consciousness fragment in Wang Dong then sends them through a spatial rift; Feng deliberately permits their escape 43.

Taking Command of Shrek’s Survivors

Tang Hao and Ah Yin emerge near Xuan Zi and the fleeing Shrek group. Despite losing their divine power, their peak Quasi-God pressure is sufficient to silence Xuan Zi 44 45.

Tang Hao falsely presents the couple as Shrek’s guardians and promises that Tang San will descend, defeat the Phoenix God, and restore their Godhoods. Offering the elders opportunities to become gods, he declares himself Sea God Pavilion Master, places Xuan Zi in charge of the Inspection Corps, and orders Shrek’s reconstruction at Clear Sky Castle. Zhang Lexuan distrusts him because of the Golden Ancient Tree’s attempt to consume Mu En’s remnant soul 45.

Appearance

  • Build: Burly 33.
  • Divine aura: Shrouded in seven-colored light while concealed inside the Golden Ancient Tree 20.
  • Manifested weapon: Wields a giant Clear Sky Hammer illuminated by seven-colored radiance 33 35.

Personality

Tang Hao is arrogant toward mortal power. Even after witnessing the destructive capability of Gods’ Dusk, he instinctively dismisses weapons made by ordinary Soul Masters. Xu Yi’s subsequent attack turns that contempt into a near-fatal mistake 40.

His confidence depends heavily on Tang San’s position. When isolated inside the Golden Ancient Tree, he angrily demands rescue; when threatened by Bibi Dong, he invokes his son’s vengeance. After escaping, he uses Tang San’s authority and promises of godhood to secure control over Shrek’s survivors 20 40 45.

He lies readily when protecting his position, recasting the couple’s concealed activities as service to Shrek. Feng Xuanyuan also criticizes his complacency: despite ten thousand years and divine advancement, Tang Hao still relies on familiar hammer techniques rather than developing new ones 40 45.

Abilities & Skills

Clear Sky Hammer

Tang Hao’s Martial Soul becomes infused with seven-colored power through his attempts to seize the Douluo Plane’s will 38.

  • Expands to dozens of meters during divine combat 38.
  • Channels his Great Sumeru Hammer technique 35 38.
  • Its divine energy is corroded by Bibi Dong’s Rakshasa power 38.
  • Its manifested form is cleaved by the phoenix-shaped Divine Flame Xuanyuan Sword attack 40.

Great Sumeru Hammer

His principal heavy hammer attack grows substantially stronger after his advancement beyond Super Douluo 38.

  • Used against Bibi Dong’s Vengeful Evil Rakshasa 35 38.
  • Can be reinforced through Ring Detonation 38.
  • Cannot block Eternal Creation, which passes through the physical attack 38.
  • Fails to stop Xu Yi’s divine-sword projectile 40.

Ring Detonation

A Clear Sky Sect divine skill that sacrifices a ring for a temporary increase in power 38.

  • As a Third-Level God, Tang Hao possesses three seven-colored divine rings.
  • Detonates one ring against Bibi Dong, immediately strengthening his aura and hammer.
  • Briefly grants strength beyond his original rank but leaves him weakened for a prolonged period afterward 38.

Residual Divine Physique

The destruction of his Godhood does not erase all of Tang Hao’s strength 45.

  • Retains god-level physical strength.
  • Remains at peak Quasi-God cultivation.
  • Can suppress Xuan Zi with Soul Power pressure alone, despite having lost his divine power 45.

Relationships

  • Ah Yin — Wife and partner in Tang San’s concealed arrangements. She repeatedly spends accumulated life force to heal him and attempts to pull him away from Xu Yi’s attack 33 38 40.
  • Tang San — Son and principal source of divine protection. His consciousness fragment rescues Tang Hao after Feng Xuanyuan destroys his Godhood 20 43.
  • Bibi Dong — Enemy from ten thousand years earlier. Upon her resurrection, she pursues revenge against the Tang family and nearly kills him 34 38 40.
  • Feng Xuanyuan — Opponent who exposes the Tang family’s arrangements, destroys Tang Hao’s Godhood, and deliberately allows his rescue to further his plans against Tang San 34 43.
  • Qian Daoliu — Former pursuer. Tang Hao and Ah Yin turn against him after he saves Mu En’s remnant soul from consumption, but Bibi Dong blocks them 31 38 39.
  • Ma Hongjun — Rescuer who removes the sword pinning the couple, purges Eternal Creation, and seeks permission to take them away safely 41 42.
  • Xuan Zi — Subordinate under Tang Hao’s self-declared leadership. Tang Hao initially calls him “Chicken Leg Douluo,” then appoints him to lead the Inspection Corps 44 45.
  • Zhang Lexuan — Skeptical Shrek survivor who rejects his claimed benevolence and considers leaving rather than trusting his promises of ascension 45.
