Background / History
Li Qingxun creates Toji after finding Seven poorly suited to investigating and robbing the Tang Sect. Rather than make another version of Seven, he chooses a fighter whose strength comes entirely from his body, reducing the disadvantages imposed by the world's laws tying supernatural power to Martial Souls. Toji's creation nearly exhausts Li Qingxun's accumulated Fantasy Power and severely depletes his mental strength 12.
Toji's first assignment is to locate Tang Sect and Spirit Pagoda facilities near Eastsea City, then raid them when few people are present. He accepts with a kneeling bow, and Li Qingxun transports him outside the city to begin work 12.
Appearance
- Apparent age: Middle-aged 12.
- Height: Over six feet tall 12.
- Build: Sturdy and well-proportioned, with muscles that convey explosive power without appearing excessively bulky 12.
- Expression: Usually calm; his gaze toward Li Qingxun is respectful rather than intimidating 12.
Personality
Toji possesses an independent consciousness while remaining absolutely loyal to Li Qingxun. He communicates respectfully, but does more than follow instructions mechanically: after observing powerful fighters leave the Tang Sect branch, he recommends moving the raid forward to exploit its weakened defenses 12 16.
In combat, he is cold and methodical. His expression does not change after killing the branch's guards, and he bypasses its manufacturing area to pursue the resources his creator actually needs. He confidently assesses his own combat strength while acknowledging that fighting without a weapon limits him 15 16.
His composure briefly slips when the golden ring strips the entire treasury—including its display wall—leaving him visibly surprised by the thoroughness of the robbery 17.
Abilities & Skills
Heavenly Restriction and Physical Strength
Toji relies on his body rather than detectable Soul Power. Li Qingxun selects him specifically for his extreme strength and aptitude for destruction and bounty hunting 12 15.
- Shatters the Tang Sect branch's entrance gate with one punch 16.
- Breaks reinforced alloy gates that would challenge a Six-Ring Soul Emperor or Seven-Ring Soul Sage. Their resistance to Martial Souls and Soul Skills is less effective against his purely physical attacks 16.
- Pushes open the final treasury door with ease 17.
- Uses his fists, palms, fingertips, and elbows as lethal weapons, killing twenty to thirty guards in under three minutes 16.
- His success does not establish superiority over every major-branch defender: Li Qingxun believes the raid might have failed had the branch master and stronger members remained 18.
Speed and Evasion
- Approaches the branch almost silently before forcing entry 16.
- Moves so quickly during close combat that he appears to teleport 16.
- Evades a barrage from Soul Tool Guns whose shots carry the force of a four- or five-ring Soul Master's full-strength attack; the bullets cannot track him 16.
- Escapes the branch's encirclement while level-six-or-higher Soul Cannons fire shells that prove ineffective against him 18.
Soul Power Detection Bypass
Toji produces no detectable Soul Power fluctuations, defeating security systems built around sensing Soul Masters 16.
- Detection tools fail to register his approach; the alarm sounds only after he smashes through the entrance 16.
- Deeper defenses cannot reliably target him because they also lock onto Soul Power 16.
- This advantage exploits the defenses' detection method; it is not presented as universal invisibility 16.
Reconnaissance and Tactical Judgment
- Locates the Tang Sect branch on the outskirts of Eastsea City's East District and surveys its interior 15.
- Observes three powerful presences departing with two groups, then proposes attacking immediately instead of the following night 16.
- Prioritizes the treasury over low-grade Soul Tools and manufacturing materials 16.
- Shares his viewpoint through his mental connection with Li Qingxun, allowing his creator to study the branch's layout and mechanisms 16 17.
Clone Link and Recreation
- Communicates with Li Qingxun through their consciousness connection and appears within his spiritual sea 15 16.
- Can be recreated after death once Li Qingxun accumulates sufficient Fantasy Power; this depends on his creator rather than automatic self-revival 12.
- Receives a reserve of Fantasy Power intended to enable an emergency escape if the raid goes wrong 16.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Golden ring — Supplied by Li Qingxun through his white-and-blue ring and linked to Toji's body. It takes the treasury's contents in a single flash, enabling Li Qingxun to receive the stolen resources 15 17.
- Requested weapons: Playful Cloud or Soul-Devouring Blade — Toji asks Li Qingxun to create either weapon, explaining that being unarmed diminishes his strength. Neither is shown being delivered in the provided chapters 16.
Relationships
- Li Qingxun — Creator and master. Toji is absolutely loyal to him, receives missions and equipment from him, and contributes independent tactical recommendations 12 15 16.
- Seven / Wu Liuqi — Another Clone of Li Qingxun. Seven's reluctance and lack of progress prompt Toji's creation as a more suitable raiding operative; no direct interaction between them is shown 12.
- Tang Sect — Target of his first completed raid. He kills its guards, breaks into its treasury, and escapes its armed response 16 17 18.
- Spirit Pagoda — Assigned as a future raiding target. Li Qingxun later surveys its structure for a possible attack by Toji, but no such raid is shown 12 22.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Eastsea Reconnaissance
- Reports that the injured students and their families have apparently left Eastsea City, while confirming the location of the Tang Sect branch 15.
- Assesses that no one presently inside the branch exceeds him in a fight to the death. Li Qingxun initially schedules a test raid for the following night 15.
Tang Sect Treasury Raid
- Secures approval for an earlier attack after the branch's strongest defenders depart 16.
- Penetrates the outer defenses and reaches the treasury after successive barriers are dismantled 16 17.
- Uses the golden ring to empty the vault. The haul includes approximately thirty ten-year Spirit Herbs, ten hundred-year herbs, two thousand-year herbs, low-level Soul Bones, millions in cash, and bank cards 17.
- Breaks through the subsequent encirclement and escapes despite the branch's Soul Cannon fire 18.
Planned Spirit Pagoda Raid
- Remains Li Qingxun's intended operative for a future Spirit Pagoda robbery. Following the Tang Sect raid, Li recognizes that another attack would attract attention and begins considering the investigative risks 22.
Notable Quotes

“Master, could you create a weapon for me afterward? Either Playful Cloud or the Soul-Devouring Blade would do.” 16
