Star Luo Family Rivalry

Zhu Zhuqing’s engagement to Dai Mubai tied her future to the Star Luo Empire’s brutal succession struggle. After he fled to the Heaven Dou Empire, she continued punishing training to avoid being discarded by her family and to survive the rivalry. Her family’s Netherworld Assassination Art and repeated immersion in the Extreme Yin Cold Pool left her meridians damaged and burdened with cold poison 28 32.

Believing Dai Mubai might be secretly gathering strength, she risked crossing the sealed border to find him. Discovering that he had instead devoted himself to drinking and pursuing women destroyed her remaining confidence in him 28.

Choosing Su Chen

At the Rose Hotel, Zhu Zhuqing witnesses Su Chen defeat Dai Mubai without releasing his Martial Soul. His strength, and the resonance his dragon aura produces within her own Martial Soul, suggest a possible escape from her family-imposed fate 28.
