One Claw Sent Yu Xiaogang Flying; a Plagiarizing Dog Deserved to Eat Shit

"Dong..."

"Bibi Dong, what's gotten into you?"

"Why have you suddenly become a different person?"

"Did that little dog change your personality? Throw him away! It's an evil creature."

Yu Xiaogang did not dare touch Bibi Dong's sore spot. He changed how he addressed her and turned his attention to Ye Tian.

He had thought it through. That little dog had to be the key.

[You're the little dog! Your whole family is little dogs!]

[I'm an Elder Auspicious Beast, a Qilin! I know the heavens above and the earth below. I can see the past and foresee the future.]

[A petty scumbag like you dares slander my noble identity? You're asking for a beating!]

Ye Tian was furious. He swung a tiny paw at Yu Xiaogang.

In an instant, a massive Dragon Claw formed from Soul Power appeared out of thin air and sent him flying.

[Crap. I forgot I still have the Qilin Progenitor's power. That claw didn't kill Yu Xiaogang, did it?]

[If he's dead, there'll be no fun left, will there?]

[Oh, well. It's up to Yu Xiaogang's luck now.]

[If he really died, so be it!]

[I'd better use what's left of the Qilin Progenitor's power to devour some Soul Beast bloodlines and grow stronger fast.]

Seeing Yu Xiaogang fly away, Ye Tian remembered his current strength. His face filled with helplessness.

Bibi Dong froze as she heard his thoughts.

She seriously suspected he was a fake Auspicious Beast.

Other Auspicious Beasts protected all living things. This one was thinking of killing Soul Beasts.

[Wait. I'm an Auspicious Beast. I can't kill the innocent at random, or I'll disgrace the name.]

[Looks like I can only devour Soul Beast bloodlines by scavenging their corpses.]

Bibi Dong listened to Ye Tian's thoughts, helplessness written all over her face.

At least he had finally remembered he was an Auspicious Beast.

If he needed to devour Soul Beast bloodlines to grow, she would grant his wish.

But she could not let Ye Tian know she could hear his thoughts. She would have to pretend otherwise.

"Little one, thank you for helping me see Yu Xiaogang for who he is."

"I don't know what kind of Soul Beast you are, but you let me hear Yu Xiaogang's thoughts and sent him flying with one swipe. You can't be ordinary."

"I know you understand me. Since fate brought us together, stay with me from now on."

"My name is Bibi Dong. How about I call you Bibi Beast?"

Bibi Dong did not know Ye Tian's name, so she simply made one up.

[Holy shit. Could you have put any less thought into it?]

[My name's Ye Tian! If you don't know it, don't make one up. That sounds awful!]

Ye Tian was speechless. "Bibi Beast" was hideous.

But he could not speak, so he struggled in Bibi Dong's arms to show his displeasure.

Hearing his thoughts, Bibi Dong learned his real name.

"Stop squirming, little one. I know you don't like it."

"You appeared out of nowhere, like a treasure sent to me by heaven."

"How about Bibi Tian?"

Bibi Dong began her performance, using a plausible excuse to edge toward his real name.

[That doesn't sound good either, but it's much better than Bibi Beast.]

[Dong'er, I don't expect you to guess my surname. Just pick something nicer.]

[My surname is Ye. I'll point at some leaves to give her a hint.]

An idea struck Ye Tian. He kicked against the two soft, plump fish beneath him and pointed at the leaves swaying nearby.

"Little one, do you mean you want a character from the word for leaves in your name?"

Bibi Dong saw his hint and played along.

[Yes, exactly!]

Ye Tian nodded again and again, as though he had finally glimpsed hope.

"Calling you Tree Leaf wouldn't sound good, and I don't think Tree is even a surname. So your surname must be Ye."

"How about I call you Ye Tian from now on?"

Bibi Dong did not want to drag it out any longer. She said his real name outright.

She had been subtle enough. Surely he would not notice anything strange.

[Yes! That's it! My name is Ye Tian.]

Ye Tian nodded repeatedly when she finally understood, a trace of exhaustion flashing through his eyes.

Not being able to speak made communication hard.

"Hee-hee, so your name is Ye Tian, little one."

"Then I'll call you Little Tiantian from now on."

"You must be hungry. I'll catch a Soul Beast and roast it for you."

Seeing how happy he looked, Bibi Dong took him to hunt a Soul Beast.

[Huh? Hunt a Soul Beast? Now that's more like it. Dong'er really gets me.]

[Now this is the life!]

Seeing how considerate Bibi Dong was, Ye Tian narrowed his eyes and nestled tightly against those two plump fish. Every so often, he kicked his little legs to settle into a more comfortable position.

He was taking advantage of Bibi Dong's softness right out in the open. It felt incredible.

Being reborn as a beast had its perks when you were cute.

When his thoughts fell silent, Bibi Dong assumed Ye Tian was resting. She thought nothing more of his movements and let him wriggle about in her arms.

Perhaps he was just looking for a more comfortable sleeping position.

"Fuck. A little dog can conjure a Dragon Claw?"

"What kind of Soul Beast is that? It's downright freakish."

"I knew it. That little dog made Bibi Dong turn against me."

"Damn it. The little dog must be controlling Bibi Dong."

"I have to find a way to save her. She must still love me."

Yu Xiaogang, whom Ye Tian had sent flying with one swipe, had luckily ended up hanging upside down from a branch. He had not been seriously hurt.

He blamed Ye Tian entirely for Bibi Dong's sudden change in attitude.

It never occurred to him that his true intentions and character had already been laid bare.

"But first, I'd better find a way down."

"If I keep hanging here, even without a Soul Beast attack, all this blood rushing to my head will do me in."

"Hey! Is anybody there? Help..."

Yu Xiaogang grew dizzy and shouted at the top of his lungs.

His body swayed with every cry.

Yu Xiaogang's trousers could not withstand the constant swaying under his weight. A huge section tore away, and he fell.

Just as Yu Xiaogang rejoiced at being free, he spotted a great black mound below him, nearly half as tall as a person.

He did not know what it was, but his instincts told him it was nothing good.

Squelch!

Yu Xiaogang plunged headfirst into it, burying half his body.

After a long struggle, he finally crawled out.

"Ugh..."

"It stinks! Who left this pile of shit here? It's fresh, too—a whole mountain of it!"

"Just wait until I catch you. I'll make you find out why flowers are so red."

Yu Xiaogang retched and cursed, nearly passing out from the stench.

"Achoo!"

A thousand meters away, the Titan Giant Ape suddenly sneezed.

He rubbed his nose, glanced around in confusion, then stepped into the small river before him to bathe.

Before long, Yu Xiaogang arrived.

At the sight of the river, he felt as though he had seen the light of dawn. He did not notice the Titan Giant Ape nearby.

When he reached the bank, the bathing Titan Giant Ape caught a familiar stench.

He thought that could not be right.

Was the smell really that strong? Had it spread this far?

While the Titan Giant Ape was puzzling over it, he spotted Yu Xiaogang, filthy from head to toe.

Yu Xiaogang spotted him too.

Man and beast stood frozen, staring at each other with wide eyes.
