He left Orochimaru to extract the cells and investigate whether the Sharingan and Byakugan could be combined, while the purpose of the seal Shinji placed underground remained unclear.

Shinji defeated Iwagakure’s strongest fighters, accepted Ōnoki’s surrender, and brought Shisui to a sealed chamber beneath Kannabi Bridge. As Shinji and Shisui entered to find someone sealed inside, Kurotsuchi followed them, and Ōnoki realized Shinji was not much older than she was.

• Shinji defeated Ōnoki, Roshi, and Han, extracted their Tailed Beasts, and told Ōnoki to withdraw Iwagakure’s troops.
• Shinji asked the Iwagakure shinobi to stay for a test, then took Shisui to a space-time Sealing Jutsu beneath Kannabi Bridge.

Shinji opened a hidden Sealing and freed a Uchiha girl who had been chained underground for a hundred years. As he and his companions brought her into the sunlight, she recognized the Uchiha Clan Crest on Shinji’s back.

• Shinji used Yin-Yang Release to remove the Sealing and open the shaft beneath the altar.
• Shinji, Shisui, and Kurotsuchi found a girl chained to the shaft wall, and Shinji shattered her chains.
• The girl accepted Shinji’s offered hand and left the underground prison with him.
• Shinji waited for the girl’s eyes to adjust before carrying her out into the sunlight.
• After Shinji set her down, the girl saw the Uchiha Clan Crest on his back.

Uchiha Nanashi awakened her Mangekyo Sharingan and attacked Shinji and Shisui, but Shinji subdued her after discovering the effect of his own Dōjutsu. After sending Ōnoki away, Shinji changed his mind and asked him to leave Kurotsuchi behind to keep Nanashi company.

• Uchiha Nanashi remembered her hatred of the Uchiha Clan, awakened her Mangekyo Sharingan, and attacked Shisui and Shinji with Tsukuyomi and Fire Release.
• Shisui blocked Nanashi’s fire dragon, but Nanashi took control of his movements and made him attack Shinji.
• Shinji knocked Shisui down, evaded Nanashi’s Amaterasu, and used his Dōjutsu to stop her before knocking her unconscious.

Shinji returned to Kannabi Bridge and attacked Urashiki, but Urashiki used his time-rewinding power and launched a surprise strike through a portal, leaving their fight unresolved.

• Urashiki's fishhook attacks pierced Shisui's Susanoo and drained the Chakra from Shisui, Hikari, and Kurotsuchi.

Yehuo and Uzuki Yugao traveled through the Land of Waterfalls to investigate matters tied to his missing brother, but they were confronted by six strangers with purple-ringed eyes. Elsewhere, Kabuto Yakushi resurrected Madara Uchiha, who expected Rinne Rebirth and demanded that Black Zetsu explain what had happened.

• Yehuo ignored Uzuki Yugao's pleas to return to the village and continued toward Takigakure to uncover answers and find his big brother.
• Yehuo caught a kunai thrown at him in the forest, and he and Uzuki Yugao faced six people with purple-ringed eyes.
• A blue-haired woman stepped forward and said the group wanted to ask Yehuo questions rather than fight him.
• Kabuto Yakushi used Impure World Reincarnation on a White Zetsu corpse after Black Zetsu confirmed the plan.

Nagato died after entrusting Konan with his Rinnegan and warning her about the fake Madara Uchiha, while Shisui Uchiha and Nobihi pursued Madara Uchiha to recover the eyes.

• Madara Uchiha killed Animal Path and Naraka Path, then repelled Deva Path Pain's Black Rods and challenged Nagato to reveal himself.

• Hashirama questioned Tobirama about Madara, and Tobirama explained that Madara had died about ten years earlier after carrying out his plans.
• Urashiki revealed that God Trees drained all life from planets and declared that he would succeed where Kaguya and Isshiki had failed.
• Tobirama said he understood what Shinji Uchiha was thinking and vanished, leaving Hashirama with Urashiki.
