Shinji freed Kirigakure from Karatachi Yagura’s genjutsu, helped Mei take control, and brought Kimimaro into his circle. After returning to investigate Orochimaru’s research, Shinji confronted the reanimated Hashirama and Tobirama, who learned of his role in the war and Konoha’s future.

• Shinji arranged for Mei Terumi to take control of Kirigakure, freed Karatachi Yagura from genjutsu, and subdued Isobu before Yagura chose to die.
• Shinji stopped Utakata’s rampage, but Harusame died after asking Utakata to leave Kirigakure and do three thousand good deeds.
• Shinji rescued Kimimaro from the Kaguya Clan conflict by killing Genji and taking Kimimaro with him.
• Shinji staged Fugaku’s apparent defeat by Mei, allowing Mei to gain support while Fugaku and Hiashi prepared their next move.
• Shinji returned to Kusagakure, approved Nara Rokuyuki’s Root proposal, and took Kimimaro and Haku to investigate Orochimaru’s research.
• Orochimaru summoned Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju, who questioned Shinji about the war and his removal of Hiruzen from power.

Shinji defeated Kumogakure’s forces and continued preparing his allies, while Hashirama and Tobirama returned to the living and investigated Konoha. The arc left the two former Hokage meeting Naruto and Sasuke, whose connection to Shinji surprised Hashirama.

• Shinji fought Hashirama Senju, then convinced Hashirama and Tobirama Senju to remain in the living world and investigate Madara Uchiha’s possible survival.
• Orochimaru revealed that his cell fusion treatment had awakened Yūyuri’s Storm Release and Wood Release, while Shinji arranged further experiments and tested Shisui’s enhanced abilities.
• Shinji returned Yuguri to Kirigakure and urged Mei Terumi to become Mizukage as the wider war shifted toward confrontation with Kumogakure.
• Shinji stopped Yugito Nii’s Tailed Beast Bomb, battled the Two-Tails and Fourth Raikage A, and devastated Kumogakure’s forces with Blaze Release.
• Hashirama and Tobirama arrived in Konoha, fought the Uchiha who confronted them, and revealed their identities after Utatane Koharu recognized Tobirama.
• Hashirama and Tobirama explored Konoha, where Naruto’s unusual Rasengan struck Sasuke and the former Hokage learned that Shinji was Sasuke’s brother.

Shinji defeated Killer B and crushed Sunagakure, forcing Rasa to accept Konoha’s control. As Obito and Akatsuki withdrew from active operations, Shinji learned Iwagakure was retreating and left to continue the war.

• Hashirama revealed himself as the First Hokage and became Naruto and Sasuke’s teacher, while Tobirama set out to investigate and help Shisui.
• Itachi fought Kakashi and Nobihi, took Kakashi’s Sharingan, and was later seized by Bixi after Yehuo and the Konoha team were overwhelmed.
• Shinji rejected Tsunade’s proposed summit, vowed to force Konoha’s enemies into submission, and went to confront Killer B.
• Shinji defeated Killer B, then traveled to the Land of Wind and restrained Shukaku as Konoha’s forces faced Sunagakure.
• Shinji used a meteor to devastate Sunagakure, captured Shukaku, sealed him inside Gaara, and forced Rasa to accept Konoha’s control.
• Shinji defeated Kurenai in a Genjutsu duel and gave her a scroll, while Kabuto agreed to treat Obito and Akatsuki’s leaders ordered their members to withdraw.
• Shinji learned Iwagakure’s forces were retreating and used the Flying Thunder God Technique to leave the tent.

Shinji gathered Tailed Beasts and freed Uchiha Hikari while battling Urashiki, whose arrival forced Shinji to undergo a dangerous transformation. Madara was revived and began pursuing Nagato’s Rinnegan, while Obito confronted Konan for the eyes as Shinji set out to intercept Madara.

• Shinji created a hidden cavern beneath the mountain, produced White Zetsu from Hashirama’s cells, and returned to defeat Gyuki and end the war at Kumogakure.
• Shinji extracted the Tailed Beasts from Yugito, Utakata, Ōnoki, Roshi, and Han, then freed Uchiha Hikari and brought her together with Kurotsuchi.
• Urashiki attacked Shinji’s group at Kannabi Bridge, drained Shisui, Hikari, and Kurotsuchi, and pursued Shinji to Konoha, where Shinji fought him alongside Hashirama.
• Shinji trapped Urashiki with Hashirama’s help, then arrived gravely injured at Orochimaru’s laboratory as Black Zetsu ordered Kabuto to revive Madara.
• Madara awakened through Impure World Reincarnation, fought the Six Paths of Pain, and drove Nagato to surrender his Rinnegan to Konan before Nagato died.
• Hashirama and Tobirama questioned Urashiki about the Ōtsutsuki, while Shinji recovered in Orochimaru’s laboratory and returned stronger.
• Shinji learned Madara was heading to the Land of Waterfalls and rushed after him as Obito confronted Konan and demanded Nagato’s Rinnegan.
