White City Camp No. 28.

Above the gate of the rather well-appointed community camp hung the address plaque issued to them by White City Base.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Liu Feng looked up. This community camp was relatively small, but its location was exceptionally distinctive.

Thick stone walls surrounded it on three sides, while an artificial river ran right past the main entrance. The camp's leader seemed quite capable, too. Taking advantage of the river, he had demolished the original stone bridge and replaced it with a wooden drawbridge. Whenever powerful enemies or zombies attacked, they would raise the wooden bridge. With no way across, the community camp was practically impregnable.

Only after White City Base issued them an official address plaque had they been placed under Long Tai's jurisdiction.

During several previous tribute collections, Long Tai had tried to seize this prime location, but every attempt had ended in failure. Eventually, he had abandoned that unrealistic ambition.

"Han Bing, who's in charge of this community camp? Is it the burly tattooed guy standing beside Little Shorty on the platform?" Liu Feng asked in confusion.

Han Bing smiled awkwardly and gave a light cough before explaining, "Ahem, Feng. That short fellow is their boss. His name is Yu Guangqi. You really need to be careful. He's no ordinary man."

At those words, a sinister sneer slid across Liu Feng's thin, cold lips. He snorted dismissively. "Oh? Then I'd really like to see what he's capable of."

With that, Liu Feng pushed open the pickup's door and looked up at the people on the community camp's platform across the river.

"Young man, I don't believe we've met!"

Sure enough, the short man was the boss. When he spoke, the burly tattooed man beside him did not even dare move his eyes.

Liu Feng put his hands in his pockets and tilted his head at him.

"There's a first time for everything. After a few more visits, we'll know each other well enough."

At that, the short man, Yu Guangqi, gradually darkened.

"Young man, I don't care where you came from. It's getting late, so unless you have something important to discuss, take my advice. Hurry home, crawl into bed, and have some fun with your woman!"

The burly men standing on the platform with Yu Guangqi burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! Guang's right! Hurry home and go three hundred rounds with your woman!"

"With that scrawny little body? I doubt he could last!"

"Hahaha! Of all the things a young man could do, he just had to play boss. What a joke!"

Furious at their mockery, the men behind Liu Feng grabbed their guns and jumped out of the vehicles. One word from Liu Feng, and they would unleash a hail of bullets at the platform.

But Liu Feng did not lose his temper over those taunts. Instead, he wore an inscrutable smile, his eyes fixed on Yu Guangqi.

"Yu Guangqi, you're quite the prophet. As it happens, I really do have something important to settle with you today."

Hearing Liu Feng address him by his full name displeased Yu Guangqi. Suppressing his anger, he asked darkly, "If you have something to say, spit it out!"

At that moment, Han Bing stepped forward and roared furiously at Yu Guangqi, "Yu Guangqi, allow me to introduce Feng! We've come to collect your tribute!"

"Feng?" The corners of Yu Guangqi's mouth lifted slightly. He shook his head in disdain. "I don't know any goddamn Feng, so there's no way I'm paying you tribute. Han Bing, we've met once before, so I'll let you live this time. Get the hell out of here before I change my mind!"

"Shorty Yu, I won't ask nicely twice. I'm warning you. If you still refuse to see sense and keep insulting Feng, you might not live to regret it!"

Yu Guangqi had been about to turn and leave after speaking, but the moment he heard that all-too-descriptive word, "Little Shorty," he exploded.

"Fuck! Han Bing, you must have a death wish, insulting me like that!"

As he spoke, Yu Guangqi grabbed a rifle and aimed at Han Bing, over two hundred meters away.

"Die, you bastard!"

Before his words had even faded, he fired.

Unless the gun misfired, Han Bing's ordinary flesh-and-blood body would suffer serious injury at the very least. He might even die on the spot. At that critical moment, Liu Feng suddenly swept out his hand.

"Iron-toothed Insect, form a shield, now!"

In the blink of an eye, a silver shield of living bodies taller than a man appeared in front of Han Bing.

Made up of 100,000 Iron-toothed Insects, the shield was as thick as two coffin lids. No matter how powerful the rifle was, it could not penetrate that shield of Iron-toothed Insects.

Clink!

The bullet fell to the ground with a clear ring. Not only was Yu Guangqi stunned, but even Han Bing had never expected Liu Feng to save his life at that crucial moment.

Now, as Han Bing looked at Liu Feng, gratitude outweighed even the admiration in his eyes.

"Fuck! What the hell is that thing?" Yu Guangqi had nowhere to vent his fury.

"B-boss, that man seems to be a Gene Warrior."

"I don't give a shit about some Gene Warrior! Go get all the men right now. I'm going to blow that bastard to pieces!" Yu Guangqi seemed to have lost all reason.

Across the river, Liu Feng naturally heard Yu Guangqi's crazed roars. He gave Han Bing a meaningful look, and Han Bing understood immediately.

"Men, grab your gear and take cover behind the vehicles and whatever else you can find. We've got a tough fight ahead of us!"

At Han Bing's command, the thirty-odd men sprang into action.

Meanwhile, nearly twenty burly men armed with firearms had gathered on the community camp's platform.

"Men, since they've come here, don't let them leave! Kill them all!"

At Yu Guangqi's command, the battle erupted.

With his elevated position, Yu Guangqi had every advantage of timing, terrain, and support. However, his side was inferior in both numbers and equipment. Even so, the two sides remained evenly matched.

Just as Yu Guangqi was about to gain the upper hand, Han Bing suddenly stepped out with a Rocket Launcher on his shoulder. He aimed at the platform and fired without warning.

Boom!

With a thunderous blast, one corner of the community camp's platform collapsed. Two unfortunate men were engulfed by the explosion and blown into scraps of flesh.

Watching the tide gradually turn against him, Yu Guangqi refused to accept it. Suddenly, he looked up and caught sight of the lingering glow of the sun sinking behind the western hills.

"Heh heh, I've got an idea!"
