Liu Feng clutched his chest and struggled to his feet after being knocked painfully to the ground by a punch. He casually wiped the trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth and flashed a nonchalant smile.

"Well? Getting beaten hurts, doesn't it?" Long Tai sneered.

At those provocative words, the corner of Liu Feng's mouth tilted upward, and he shot toward Long Tai like a bullet.

"Coming at me again?" Surprise crossed Long Tai's face.

Before he finished speaking, Liu Feng's fist was already in front of his face. But Long Tai, a veteran of countless fights, seemed to have anticipated it. He abruptly leaned to one side and dodged Liu Feng's attack.

Just then, however, Long Tai caught a hint of a smile on Liu Feng's face, as though his plan had succeeded.

Long Tai's heart gave an involuntary jolt. He looked down sharply, only to see Liu Feng's heel driving hard into his lower leg.

During their fight a few days earlier, Long Tai had had the misfortune of taking a burst from Liu Feng's rifle in the lower leg. The wound wasn't serious, but it hurt like hell.

From the very beginning, Liu Feng had never intended to fight Long Tai in a proper duel. Long Tai wanted to beat Liu Feng by exploiting his own advantages, but Liu Feng had already spotted his fatal weakness.

Liu Feng put every ounce of strength he had into that kick. In an instant, the burly Long Tai collapsed onto his backside, clutching his lower leg with a constipated grimace and howling in agony.

"Fuck! Liu Feng, you broke the rules!"

Liu Feng burst out laughing at that. He spread his hands, his face a picture of innocence.

"Tai, you said it yourself just now: we could use both fists and both feet throughout the duel. Only using outside objects would count as cheating. I didn't break any rules; I just accidentally hit your old wound. That doesn't count as a violation, does it?"

Wracked with pain, Long Tai held his leg with one hand and pointed at Liu Feng's nose with the other, but he couldn't refute him.

"You... you're fighting dirty!"

"Fighting dirty?" Smiling, Liu Feng crouched in front of Long Tai. "Then let me show you what fighting dirty really looks like!"

"Black Tiger Rips Out the Heart!"

"Monkey Steals the Peaches!"

"Strike Straight at the Dragon's Lair!"

Liu Feng executed the next few moves with such fluid grace that he looked every bit a martial arts master.

Long Tai howled in agony, a few tears even squeezing out of the corners of his eyes.

Seeing this, the crowd outside the gate breathed a sigh of relief while secretly reveling in his suffering.

"Who knew Feng was such a badass!"

"Those last few moves were incredible! I want to learn them too!"

"Hahaha! Look at the sorry state he's beaten Long Tai into!"

"He used to be a big shot in his day. Who would've thought he'd fall this low? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Fate really does toy with people!"

"Fate toys with people? I'd say he brought this on himself. He wanted to use this chance to humiliate Feng, but he picked the wrong man to mess with!"

Listening to their scorn, Long Tai flushed crimson with humiliation and rage, the fury inside him burning hotter and hotter! Suddenly, he pulled a concealed pistol from his pocket and aimed it straight at Liu Feng's back.

"Liu Feng, die!"

This sudden turn instantly reversed the situation. The men outside the gate shouted in alarm at the sight.

Yet Liu Feng, his back still turned to Long Tai, wore the same nonchalant smile.

Snap.

With a soft snap of his fingers, nearly 100,000 Iron-toothed Insects gave Long Tai no time to react before swarming over him and encasing him in a ball.

After an agonized howl, all that remained on the platform was a foul-smelling puddle of blood. Not even his bones were left.

The sight was truly hair-raising. One reversal after another had made the spectacle as dramatic as it could possibly be. While everyone was still reeling, Uncle Ge had already opened the residential camp's gate.

After finishing the inventory of all the supplies, Han Bing hurried to Liu Feng's room.

Standing outside the door, Han Bing actually heard a woman's voice.

"Feng, it was a moment of foolishness on my part that caused all this. But he really did force me. I didn't mean to do it! Please, I'm begging you, don't throw me into a horde of zombies."

"Hah!" Liu Feng snorted and said coldly, "You think saying you didn't mean it makes everything all right? Do you realize that if we hadn't held out that day, we would all have been done for?"

"Feng, I know I was wrong. As long as you spare me, I'll do anything you ask. Even if you want me to..."

After a few seconds of silence, Liu Feng's furious shout rang out.

"What are you doing? Get the hell away from me! Han Bing, are you going to stand at the door and enjoy the show? Get in here and drag this crazy woman away!"

Being called out so suddenly caught Han Bing off guard. Under the circumstances, however, he could only steel himself and push open the door. He looked up sharply, and sure enough, it was Long Tai's former favorite mistress.

Her bare shoulders were exposed as she sat slumped on the floor, her face streaked with tears. Liu Feng, meanwhile, stood with righteous dignity, his hands clasped behind his back and his back turned to them.

"Didn't you hear what Feng said? If you know what's good for you, get out of this room!"

Having spent so long at Long Tai's side, the woman had naturally learned a thing or two. She immediately understood the implication of Han Bing's words. Picking up the clothes scattered on the floor, she wiped away her tears and quickly left Liu Feng's room.

"Thank you, Feng. I'll make sure to behave from now on."

Only after the woman's footsteps faded into the distance did Liu Feng turn around.

"Han Bing, whatever it is, just say it."

Han Bing paused, then said, "Feng, you shouldn't have killed Long Tai."

"Oh?" Looking surprised, Liu Feng gave Han Bing a puzzled look. "Why?"

"Feng, I just asked Ge about it. Long Tai clearly came back well prepared this time. If I'm not mistaken, he went to White City a few days ago to find his eldest aunt's husband."

"His aunt's husband?" Liu Feng looked as though he were settling in to hear a story.

"Yes. Long Tai was only an ordinary man. The only reason he could become the boss of five residential camps was that his uncle held a high-ranking position in White City."

Hearing this, Liu Feng sank into thought.

"Feng, now that you've killed Long Tai, I doubt it'll be long before the news reaches his uncle. When that happens, we'll be in serious trouble!"

Leaning against the table, Liu Feng nodded and murmured, "That really is a thorny problem."
