Haotian Seeks the Dao Ancestor, All Sages Head to Zixiao!

Hearing Hongjun's question, Haotian lowered his head slightly, his voice somewhat strained as he said:

"Master, this disciple... this disciple wishes to ask one thing of you."

Hongjun narrowed his eyes faintly and spoke in a cool, indifferent voice:

"Speak!"

"What is it?"

Haotian did not beat around the bush and said directly:

"Master must also know that after I... after I left the Heavenly Court, I went to the West and established the Western Heavenly Court."

"But though this Western Heavenly Court has been founded, the manpower... is truly insufficient."

"This disciple wishes to ask Master to say a word and have the great Saints send some disciples to my Western Heavenly Court to help hold up the scene."

"I ask Master to grant permission!"

As he spoke, Haotian hurriedly knelt and bowed before Dao Ancestor Hongjun, his heart uncertain.

After all, earlier, he had rebelled out of the Heavenly Court.

By rights, if Dao Ancestor Hongjun did not punish him, that already counted as leniency.

Yet now, he had come to Hongjun for help, wanting Hongjun to send down a Divine Decree and have the great Saints send their disciples into his Western Heavenly Court.

In Haotian's view, this request of his was more or less somewhat excessive.

Just as Haotian was feeling uneasy and apprehensive, Hongjun sank into thought.

As for Haotian betraying the Heavenly Court and establishing the Western Heavenly Court, he had originally been somewhat angered.

But he had not interfered in it.

He had thought that Haotian's founding of the Western Heavenly Court could be treated as compensation for Haotian.

After all, Haotian and Yaochi had served by his side for countless years; even if there had been no merit, there had still been toil.
