Background / History

Before meeting Lin Luo, Utaha was an ordinary human who wrote fiction. She kept a Devil Flyer because its intricate magic circle could serve as material for her novel. When unexplained knocking continued outside her room despite an empty security feed—and the room’s temperature began falling—she used the flyer to plead for help. Lin Luo answered, forcing her to confront the existence of devils 3 24.

Lin Luo made her his Queen-piece servant and supplied magic books, contact information, and a flyer for emergencies. She quickly demonstrated unusual aptitude, but her first extended practice session exhausted her magical reserves. He also instructed her to transfer to his school 4.

Utaha moved into the room next to Lin Luo’s and transferred to Kuoh Academy. Through Rias and the Occult Research Club, she began learning about devil society and supernatural threats. Lin Luo arranged combat instruction because her magical potential greatly exceeded her practical experience 6 7.

Her determination sharpened when Lin Luo offered her the Essence of the Fire God. Competition motivates much of her growth. The arrival of powerful or attractive familiars unsettles her, but she usually responds by training, improving her magic, or finding opportunities to secure Lin Luo’s attention.
