• After a typhoon damaged the region, Wen Ning learned from Chen Yang that an Evil Flood Dragon was causing destruction as it headed for the sea.
• Wen Ning confronted the Evil Flood Dragon at the Canglang River, and Wen Zhong and the Thunder Department arrived to kill it after Wen Ning stood his ground to protect the other cultivators.
• Wen Ning stopped floodwaters from reaching Wanghe Village and diverted them away from its residents, then declined an award and an invitation to join the National Special Affairs Processing Center.

• Wen Ning learned that Liu Mingyuan planned to donate the proceeds from his inherited apartment to the Anti-Drug Police Family Support Fund, and he sold it to Zhou Min and Liu Qing without charging commission.
• Wen Ning recognized the fading yin energy around Doudou as her deceased mother’s protective attachment and reassured her family that it would not harm her.
• Xie Bi'an asked Wen Ning to help Chen Mu, whose parents’ merit had grown through their students’ good deeds, after the Book of Life and Death foretold her death in a calamity involving a monster.

• Wen Ning and Lu Ming investigated a Dragon King Temple, where the Big Green Snake used her Dragon Pearl to save a woman in labor and explained that she had been helping the villagers.
• Wen Ning and Lu Ming protected the Big Green Snake, caught field mice with her, and later arrested Xuan Yin, whom Wen Zhong sentenced to a thousand years in prison.
• Wen Zhong brought Wen Ning to meet the Heavenly Lord of Primordial Beginning, who awarded him Huang Yin after he won their chess game.
• Huang Yin became the Phoenix-Wing Gilt Trident and settled into a tattoo on Wen Ning’s arm, while the Heavenly Lord of Primordial Beginning discussed the coming calamity with Wen Zhong and Dipper Mother.
