As soon as Dr. Chen left, Yun Yao rushed out, her face overflowing with indescribable joy. "Chen Hao, you're amazing! Thank you!"
In her excitement, Yun Yao forgot all about acting ladylike and threw herself into Chen Hao's arms, leaving him rather embarrassed. "Yun Yao, don't do that. There's someone else here."
At his side, Qin Yumo promptly gave the inside of his arm a vicious pinch, making him cry out. "So I'm an outsider, am I? You mean you'd be even more uninhibited if I weren't here?"
Yun Ling came out as well. No longer caring that her daughter was hugging Chen Hao, she grabbed his hand, so moved that she almost knelt before him. "Chen Hao, I misunderstood you and even scolded you. I'm sorry. You've done our Yun Family an enormous kindness!"
Chen Hao quickly held Yun Ling up. "Please, Auntie, you mustn't! Yun Yao is my friend. I was just helping a friend out."
Yun Ling was an honest woman with no ill intentions. Her earlier behavior had been a perfectly normal reaction for an ordinary person, and Chen Hao certainly wouldn't hold it against her.
"Then tell me how we can repay you. Whatever you ask for, I'll agree," Yun Ling said in all seriousness.
Chen Hao had already realized that Yun Ling was a strong-willed, stubborn woman. If he didn't ask her for something, she would never let the matter go.
After a moment's thought, Chen Hao rubbed his stomach and smiled at Yun Ling. "How about treating us to a meal, Auntie? I'm practically starving."
Yun Ling and Yun Yao both froze for a moment, then all four of them burst out laughing.
