I finally finished the Battle Through the Heavens arc and the Great Ruler arc. These two arcs were truly exhausting to write.
Because the realization of Amon's ultimate goal hinged most importantly on his scheme to infiltrate Xiao Yan and Mu Chen and gradually alter their thinking, I inevitably had to make that the focus, which meant the plot ended up overlapping too much with the originals.
In addition, Battle Through the Heavens and Great Ruler belong to those kinds of worlds where "overwhelming force solves everything," with very few contests of strategy. This is especially true of Great Ruler, where the connections between factions are very weak. It is almost always a matter of changing maps, and once a map is changed, the previous "small map" becomes more or less useless, leaving far less room to maneuver.
The next arc is Dragon Raja. I'll emphasize Amon's central position more and write around him.
Also, I'm taking leave. It might be one day, or it might be two. I need to properly sort out the plot.
