In the boundless void, a streak of light flashed past. In this place where time and space were both chaotic, Amon's senses became muddled as well.
The consciousness he extended perceived only emptiness, yet he still could not help trying again and again.
When his head began to throb with pain, Amon finally ended this attempt, withdrew his consciousness, and wearily leaned back in his high-backed chair.
"My strength is still somewhat lacking. No, it is not exactly that I am weak. Even if the Mother Goddess, the Celestial Worthy, or God Almighty came into this void, they would likewise be ground away by this emptiness. This is an imperfection at the level of rules. Perhaps only when I incorporate the Gate of Order into myself will I be qualified to roam this great void freely."
He rubbed his brow, easing the pain in his mind.
Who knew how long passed before the fatigue gradually faded. Suddenly, he seemed to sense something and lifted his head, staring ahead.
The Gate of Order was trembling slightly, and an understanding naturally surfaced in his heart... It had discovered a new world!
This merchant that traveled the void and sold rules had already grown excited. It conveyed to Amon its desire to go and negotiate, an instinctive urge.
After some thought, Amon did not stop it. He allowed the Gate of Order to alter its course and fly toward this newly discovered world.
A bright, layered sphere of light appeared in Amon's field of vision.
Within the sphere, he could vaguely make out blurry shadows. It was as though countless spheres were nested together, or as though a Mobius Loop had spiraled and twisted around itself an unknown number of times.
As they drew near, a powerful sense of rejection came from afar.
