The red Ferrari was parked by the roadside like a cluster of burning flames, trapped in the stillness of the night.
Lu Mingfei sat in the back seat, looking through the window at the villa beside them. The house was brightly lit, warm yellow light spilling from every window and illuminating a small stretch of road ahead.
