While Sen Lijiu and the man left, Xia An'an encountered Camellia elsewhere. Just as in the plot, Camellia was trapped by An'an's necklace. Camellia looked at the necklace, seeming to understand something, then clasped both hands together and spoke slowly. "An'an, I must get out of here now. Will you help me?" An'an nodded without hesitation.
A magic circle suddenly appeared beneath Camellia, who closed both eyes. "Flower Fairy Xia An'an, in the name of the Elf King invoked by the Flower Code, I wish to form a contract with you and become your guardian spirit. Rebuild the magic energy circle, call my name, and I shall obey your commands."
"O Magic Envoy of the Flower Fairies-please speak the incantation that seals our bond."
With that, Camellia urgently addressed the bewildered An'an. "Flower Fairy Magic Envoy, hurry! Say the incantation!"
"What incantation?"
"Hurry and say my name!"
Still confused, An'an murmured, "Huh? Oh, Camellia-"
The man carried Little Fox into the car, set him down, and covered him with a small blanket. About an hour later, the car gradually came to a stop. He gently picked Little Fox up and walked into a villa. The house was warmly furnished, at odds with the man's demeanor. Sen Lijiu looked all around, while Kukulu had been left on a cabinet by the entrance.
The man couldn't help chuckling at Sen Lijiu's little antics. "Don't just look around downstairs. Go upstairs and have a look. There's a surprise waiting for you."
Sen Lijiu bounded upstairs, his fluffy tail swishing back and forth adorably.
The man didn't hurry after him. Instead, he turned and entered the study on the ground floor. Its clear, spotless window was like an enormous screen, vividly framing the gentle drizzle outside.
Like a band of mischievous little sprites, the raindrops leaped and danced lightly through the air before softly tapping against the windowpane. Their faint, crisp patter sounded as though nature were performing a tranquil, beautiful concert.
Through the window, the distant streets and houses could be seen shrouded in a thin veil of misty rain, fading in and out of view and lending the scene a touch of mystery.
The rain-soaked world seemed especially fresh and peaceful, drawing anyone who saw it into its spell. People had long since put those earlier meteors out of their minds. As for what turmoil they might cause in the future, who could say?
The moment Sen Lijiu reached the second floor, he noticed the difference. Its decor was clearly unlike that downstairs. The ground floor leaned toward minimalism, while the second floor was more refined-or rather, it suited Sen Lijiu better. There were plenty of cute little dolls, too. Seeing them finally reminded Sen Lijiu of Kukulu, whom he had forgotten downstairs.
Poor Kukulu still had no idea he had been forgotten. If he knew, he would probably stamp his feet in fury and declare, "How dare you! You dare show such disrespect to the great Prince Kukulu!"
Imagining that scene, Sen Lijiu regretted missing it, but there was no time to dwell on that now. He sent a clone hurrying downstairs. After greeting the man, the clone wrapped its tail around Kukulu and headed to the area near Xia An'an's house.
To avoid arousing suspicion, Sen Lijiu deliberately found a few leaves, made Kukulu look a mess, and dumped him outside Xia An'an's front door.
Xia Mu happened to be heading out and spotted him. After a moment of puzzlement, he decided to take him home and give him to Xia An'an. He had a persistent feeling that An'an would need this doll.
After receiving the doll, Xia An'an placed him beside her bed. Night fell, and moonlight spilled into the room. A faint glow rose from Kukulu's body, and he woke.
At the sight of the unfamiliar surroundings, he immediately jumped up and shouted, "What is this place? How did I, a prince, end up here?" Xia An'an woke to the noise and stared in astonishment at the moving Kukulu.
Kukulu pointed at An'an. "Who are you? Were you the one who brought me here?" An'an shot back indignantly, "This is my house. My dad found you and gave you to me. Besides, you're just a doll."
Kukulu's face flushed red with anger. "You dare look down on me? I'm a prince of the Ancient Spirit Fairy Clan!"
