Background

Naruto was born during an attack on Konoha that released the Nine-Tails from Kushina. Because Kushina was too weakened after childbirth to contain Kurama again, Minato sealed the beast into their newborn son. Kushina survived because of the Little Nine-Tails' intervention, while Hiruzen was severely injured defending the village. 493

Unlike the original course of events referenced by Hoshi, Naruto grows up with Minato and Kushina alive and present.
