Eliminating Frieza

"Ninety-seven, ninety-eight, ninety-nine, one hundred!" Frieza shouted.

At last, Frieza unleashed one hundred percent of his power, then said to Son Goku, "Oh ho ho! Sorry for the wait, Super Saiyan Kakarot. You should feel honored to die at the hands of this lord at full power, Kakarot."

Son Goku held up one finger toward Frieza and said, "I only need one tenth of my power to turn you into cosmic dust, Frieza."

"Oh ho ho! Is that so? Then let this lord see how you intend to turn me into cosmic dust, you damned Saiyan Monkey," Frieza said.

"Fine." Before the word had finished leaving his mouth, Son Goku drove a heavy punch into Frieza's abdomen.

Frieza screamed and coughed up a mouthful of blood. He darted backward to put some distance between them, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and roared, "You damned Saiyan Monkey! How dare you ambush this lord! You worthless scum have exhausted my patience. Now I'll finish you off in one go, you wretched wild monkey!"

"Frieza, it seems your face still doesn't hurt. Let me help you get acquainted with the feeling of being slapped."

With that, he flashed in front of Frieza. Frieza lashed out with a kick and shouted, "Saiyan Monkey! Trying the same old trick to ambush this lord again? Do you think I'm a pushover?"

But no sooner had he spoken than Frieza saw Kakarot vanish before his eyes. It was only an afterimage. Before he could react, Son Goku landed a heavy punch on the back of his head.

Son Goku flashed in front of Frieza again, then raised his broad hands and slapped Frieza's face from both sides.

Under the barrage of slaps, Frieza's head swung back and forth like a pellet drum.

Son Goku slapped him dozens of times before flashing away to put some distance between them.

Only then did Frieza recover from the beating. He flew into a rage. "You damned Saiyan Monkey! Die!"

"Aah! Da-da-da-da-da!" Frieza roared, firing countless Energy Blasts at Son Goku with both hands.

Son Goku was soon engulfed in smoke. Frieza hurled Energy Blasts for nearly a minute before finally stopping.

He laughed loudly. "Oh ho ho! You wretched wild monkey! Surely you're dead now!"

"Frieza, I gave you a chance, but you couldn't make anything of it. Are you trying to tickle me?" Son Goku's voice came from within the smoke.

"Damn it! How can you be completely unharmed?" Frieza asked in disbelief.

The smoke cleared, and Son Goku smiled. "Frieza, this is what we call the law of smoke without damage."

Frieza was beginning to find the situation troublesome. Remembering his race's legends about Super Saiyans, along with their earlier exchanges, he finally realized that the Super Saiyan before him was no weaker than he was.

Seeing Frieza fall silent, Son Goku said, "What's wrong? Even the great Frieza, Emperor of the Universe, feels afraid?"

Frieza exploded with rage at his words. "You wretched wild monkey! Don't get carried away! How could this lord ever fear a bunch of wild monkeys? Die!"

Then he flashed in front of Son Goku and swung a heavy punch at him.

He struck only an afterimage. Frieza immediately spun into a roundhouse kick aimed behind him, only to hit another of Son Goku's afterimages.

And so Frieza began battling Son Goku's afterimages.

In truth, Frieza could no longer keep up with Son Goku's speed. Every time Frieza attacked, Son Goku swiftly dodged, moving so fast that he left an afterimage where he had stood.

They fought for a long time, yet Frieza never even touched the hem of Son Goku's clothes.

Frieza knew Son Goku was toying with him and grew utterly furious. He wrapped himself in all his energy, unleashed his ultimate move, Nova Strike, and hurtled toward Planet Namek.

Seeing this, Son Goku knew exactly what Frieza was planning.

Frieza intended to crash into Planet Namek and destroy it, killing everyone in the process. He believed he was the only one who could survive in space, unaware that Son Goku could as well.

But Son Goku would never let Frieza destroy Planet Namek.

"We've fought long enough. It's time to send Frieza off to enjoy Heaven," Son Goku muttered to himself.

Then he cupped his hands together at his waist and shouted, "Kamehameha!"

An enormous beam of energy surged from Son Goku's hands and swiftly struck Frieza.

"What?! Damn it! No! I, the great Frieza, Emperor of the Universe, am going to die at a wild monkey's hands? I won't accept this! Aah!" With one final scream, Frieza was blasted to dust and scattered on the wind.

Seeing this, Son Goku ended his Super Saiyan transformation and returned to the others.

Piccolo said, "Son, your power truly is unfathomable. You eliminated even an opponent as powerful as Frieza with ease."

Son Goku smiled. "Frieza's strength was nothing special. There are plenty of people in the universe stronger than him, so you all need to train hard!"

Raditz said, "Kakarot, you're joking, right? Frieza was already that powerful. Are there really beings in the universe stronger than him?"

Son Goku said, "Haven't you heard that Frieza belongs to the Frieza Race? Since it's a race, he must have others of his kind. That means there must be someone among them stronger than him. Besides, the universe is vast. Although Frieza called himself the Emperor of the Universe, he was really just lording it over this little backwater, the North Galaxy. So stop being frogs at the bottom of a well and train hard."

Everyone nodded at his words.

Son Goku continued, "The Frieza Force has been wiped out. Let's say goodbye to the Grand Elder, then head back to Earth."

Everyone nodded in agreement, so Son Goku used Instant Transmission and brought them all before the Grand Elder in an instant.

The Grand Elder opened his eyes and asked Son Goku, "Goku, have you eliminated the invaders?"

Son Goku said, "Yes, Grand Elder. But we arrived a little too late. Many of your people were killed by the invaders."

The Grand Elder sighed. "That was their fate. You need not blame yourself."

Son Goku said, "Don't worry, Grand Elder. We can gather the Dragon Balls and bring them back to life."

The Grand Elder said, "Porunga can only revive one person at a time. Moreover, using the Dragon Balls too often will bring irreversible consequences."

Son Goku knew the consequences the Grand Elder meant were the Shadow Dragons, but he was unconcerned. By the time the Shadow Dragons appeared, he might already have trained to Super Saiyan 5, Super Saiyan 6, or even Super Saiyan 7. Mere Shadow Dragons would hardly be able to cause any trouble.

Son Goku said, "Grand Elder, Earth's Shenron can revive many people at once. Once we return to Earth, we'll summon Shenron to bring your people back."

The Grand Elder replied, "Then you have my thanks. As a token of our gratitude, Goku, if you have a wish, you may use Porunga to fulfill it."

Son Goku lowered his head and pondered for a moment before saying, "Grand Elder, I don't have any wishes at the moment."

The Grand Elder said, "Very well. Whenever you have a wish to make, come to Planet Namek. You will always be welcome."

"All right, Grand Elder. We'll take our leave, then," Son Goku said.

The Grand Elder nodded.

Then Son Goku used Instant Transmission to take everyone back to Earth.
