After Son Goku led everyone back to Earth, he borrowed the Dragon Radar from Bulma and began gathering the Dragon Balls. It took him only half a day to collect all seven.
Then they summoned Shenron, and Piccolo wished for the murdered Namekians to be brought back to life.
A red light flashed in Shenron's eyes. On Planet Namek, the murdered Namekians came back to life, all looking utterly bewildered.
After sensing that his people had been revived, the Grand Elder passed away peacefully. When the Namekians learned of his death, they were overcome with grief.
Everyone on Earth returned to their simple, monotonous lives of training.
Half a year later, Piccolo finally adapted completely to one hundred times gravity, and his power level reached five million.
Wearing Weighted Clothing set to three hundred times gravity, Son Goku also successfully adapted to three hundred times gravity. His power level rose to ninety million, and he could now use Kaioken x300.
During this time, Vegeta caught up from behind. In just half a year, he adapted to one hundred times gravity, and his power level reached five hundred thousand.
Raditz and Nappa also fully adapted to one hundred times gravity, with both their power levels reaching three hundred thousand.
Son Goshin and Son Gohin truly were young prodigies. After adapting to one hundred times gravity, their power levels reached one million five hundred thousand.
Krillin adapted to eighty times gravity, and his power level reached ninety thousand.
Tien Shinhan adapted to eighty times gravity, and his power level reached one hundred thousand.
Yamcha barely managed to adapt to fifty times gravity, and his power level reached fifty thousand.
Chiaotzu also adapted to fifty times gravity, and his power level reached forty thousand.
After Piccolo, Vegeta, Raditz, Nappa, Son Goshin, and Son Gohin adapted to one hundred times gravity, Son Goku turned the three-hundred-times Gravity Room over to the six of them.
He then began training toward Super Saiyan 2.
One day, while Son Goku was training, he received a telepathic message from North Kai.
"Goku, are you there?" North Kai asked.
"I'm here, King Kai. What is it?" Son Goku replied.
"Excellent, Goku! Planet Namek is being invaded by an evil Namekian named Slug. Hurry over there and save the Namekians," North Kai said.
"All right, King Kai. I'll get Piccolo, and we'll head over right away," Son Goku replied.
"All right, Goku," North Kai said.
Son Goku then entered the Gravity Room and called Piccolo out.
After hearing what had happened, Piccolo rubbed his hands eagerly. Son Goku used Instant Transmission to take him straight to Slug.
Slug was interrogating the Namekians about the Dragon Balls' whereabouts when the two suddenly appeared in front of him, giving him quite a fright.
Piccolo looked at Slug. "So you're Slug?"
Slug laughed. "You're a Namekian too. If you know my name, how dare you challenge me?"
"You're a Namekian yourself. Why are you slaughtering your own people?" Piccolo asked.
Slug roared with laughter. "All I want are the Wish Orbs so I can wish for my youth back. But this trash refuses to tell me where they are, so there's no reason to let them live."
"Pah! You evil disgrace to our people! You'll never get the Wish Orbs!" a Namekian said.
Slug's expression darkened. Two laser beams shot from his eyes, reaching the Namekian who had spoken in an instant.
Piccolo flashed in front of him and blocked both beams.
Slug clicked his tongue in amazement. "To think there's someone besides me on Planet Namek who's trained to this level. You're worthy of dying by my hand. What's your name?"
"The name's Piccolo. And with that pathetic strength of yours, you think you can kill me? You really have no idea who you're dealing with."
Slug flew into a rage. "You're fucking arrogant, aren't you? How dare you run your mouth at me! I've decided-I'm going to make you wish you were dead!"
"Is making threats all you can do?" Piccolo mocked. "You've been yapping forever, but you still haven't made a move."
"If you're so eager to die, I'll send you on your way," Slug said.
Then he turned to his three subordinates, Medamatchi, Angela, and Dorodabo. "I'll leave this Namekian's underling to you three."
"Yes, my king!" the three replied in unison.
Piccolo covered his mouth, struggling to keep himself from laughing aloud.
Son Goku couldn't help chuckling either.
"What are you laughing at?" Slug demanded.
"I remembered something funny," Piccolo said.
Slug turned to Son Goku. "And what are you laughing at, you filthy monkey?"
"My wife's having a baby tomorrow," Son Goku said with a smile.
Slug smiled cruelly. "Then your wife will be a widow tomorrow. Can you still laugh now?"
"I won't argue with a dead man," Son Goku replied.
Slug laughed. "Saiyan monkey, are you trying to be funny? A piece of trash like you?"
Son Goku ignored Slug and spoke to Piccolo instead. "Piccolo, I'm giving you five minutes. After that, I'll step in."
"Don't worry, Goku. I won't need five minutes to deal with him," Piccolo said.
"Just leave him badly injured. He'll be very useful to you," Son Goku said.
Piccolo's eyes lit up. "Goku, do you mean assimilation?" he asked excitedly.
Son Goku nodded.
Instantly fired up, Piccolo flashed in front of Slug and launched a Rising Dragon Fist, sending him flying before he could react.
The two then began a fierce battle.
Seeing Piccolo and Slug begin fighting, Slug's three subordinates watched them.
Then they turned their attention to Son Goku.
Son Goku couldn't be bothered with this trash. Using telekinesis, he formed three Ki Blades that instantly pierced the three of them. The blades then exploded, blasting them to pieces.
The three died before their mission had even begun. Son Goku wiped them out before they could make a move.
After disposing of the three, Son Goku looked up at the battle between Piccolo and Slug.
Judging by his ki, Slug's power level was around ten million. Piccolo was using Kaio-ken x3 and beating him down.
The only reason Piccolo hadn't killed Slug instantly was that he wanted to assimilate him and gain his power.
Battered all over, with his face bruised and swollen, Slug flew into a rage and immediately grew to an enormous size, transforming into a so-called Super Namekian.
His power level increased tenfold, reaching one hundred million.
Caught off guard, Piccolo had an arm kicked off. He immediately put some distance between them, then used Regeneration to grow a new arm.
Slug laughed wildly. "Piccolo, you had fun beating me up, didn't you? Now it's my turn!" With that, he continued his attack.
Piccolo responded by using Kaioken x30, raising his power level to one hundred fifty million and instantly leaving Slug severely injured.
A short while later, Piccolo carried the gravely injured, unconscious Slug over to Son Goku and began assimilating him.
Slug gradually turned into light and merged into Piccolo's body, causing Piccolo's ki to surge.
By sensing Piccolo's ki, Son Goku realized that Piccolo's base power level was already no lower than Frieza's had been back then.
In fact, Piccolo's power level had now reached the same level as Son Goku's Super Saiyan transformation in the original story-a full one hundred fifty million.
After assimilating Slug, Piccolo felt stronger than ever before.
