Trunks had no idea why, and Son Goku offered no explanation.
When they arrived at Kami's Lookout, Son Goku called out for Mr. Popo a few times, and a black man dressed in Indian attire walked out of the temple.
Seeing Son Goku, Mr. Popo said, "Goku, didn't you die of a heart attack?"
Son Goku said, "Mr. Popo, you're still alive, just as I thought."
Listening to their exchange, Trunks's mouth twitched.
Son Goku said, "Mr. Popo, I'm not the Son Goku from your world. I traveled here from another timeline."
With that, he pulled Trunks in front of him and told Mr. Popo, "Trunks was the one who brought me to this timeline."
Trunks hurriedly greeted Mr. Popo.
Mr. Popo said, "So it's you. I know you-you're Vegeta's son. It's thanks to you that the Androids have been held back all these years. Otherwise, those two Androids would have wiped out humanity."
Puzzled, Trunks asked, "Mr. Popo, how do you know about me?"
Mr. Popo said, "When Kami was alive, I saw you while I was at his side. Kami could see everything that happened in the world."
"I see," said Trunks.
Son Goku told Mr. Popo, "Mr. Popo, I'd like to use the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to train Trunks so he can destroy the Androids himself."
Mr. Popo nodded. "No problem, Goku."
Trunks asked in confusion, "What's the Hyperbolic Time Chamber?"
Son Goku explained, "The Hyperbolic Time Chamber is a training space inside Kami's Lookout. One day outside is a year inside, and the gravity in there is ten times Earth's."
"I see. To think there's such an incredible place to train! How come I never knew about it?" Trunks said.
Son Goku said, "Only the me from this world ever went there, and just once. He died of a heart attack before telling anyone, so naturally, no one knew."
"I see. Oh, right, Uncle Goku, I have medicine at home specifically for heart disease. Make sure you take it later," Trunks said.

Trunks stared at him in disbelief. "Uncle Goku, why are you killing me?"
Son Goku said, "To help you get stronger."
At those words, rage overwhelmed Trunks, and he gradually lost consciousness.
Son Goku hurriedly took out a Senzu Bean and fed it to him.
In the blink of an eye, Trunks was fully healed. He sprang to his feet and shouted, "Uncle Goku, if you wanted to kill me, why did you save me?"
Son Goku smiled. "I wasn't trying to kill you. I was helping you get stronger. If you don't believe me, check your strength."

Trunks nodded, his eyes wide as he stared at Son Goku.
Son Goku roared, and his muscles rapidly swelled. In the blink of an eye, he had become a hulking brute covered in bulging muscle.
Son Goku told Trunks, "This is called the second stage of Super Saiyan 1. In this state, strength increases dramatically, but speed doesn't improve. It even drops somewhat."
With that, Son Goku transformed again. His body returned to its previous shape, and the aura surrounding him settled inward, giving him an air of profound steadiness.
Son Goku told Trunks, "I call this form full power Super Saiyan. It's the limit of Super Saiyan 1. Not a scrap of energy is wasted, so all of it can be used against your opponent."
Immediately afterward, Son Goku roared. His aura surged, his long golden hair stood upright with a single lock hanging over his forehead, and lightning crackled around his entire body.
Trunks was stunned beyond belief.
Son Goku said, "This transformation surpasses Super Saiyan. I call it Super Saiyan 2. It grants twice the battle power of Super Saiyan 1-a hundred times your base battle power."
Trunks first nodded numbly, then asked in wild delight, "Uncle Goku, can I transform into Super Saiyan 2 too?"
Son Goku said, "That's right, you can too. That's what our training from here on will aim for."
