The Demon Falls, Old Friends Reunite

Trunks flashed in front of Android 17. Android 17 sneered and threw a punch straight into Trunks's face.

Then he laughed. "Trunks, is that all you've got? And you had the nerve to boast about killing us?"

"Is that so?" Trunks said coldly.

Before Android 17 could answer, Trunks drove a fist into his stomach.

The blow made Android 17 vomit up last night's dinner. Just as he was about to speak, Trunks sent him to his grave with an Energy Blast.

Son Goku thought, Trunks really is the Saiyan who wastes the least time. Ruthless and a man of few words. If it were Vegeta, he'd at least throw in a couple of taunts before killing an Android.

Android 18 cried out at the sight. "Impossible! Trunks, how did you get this strong?"

Trunks flashed forward and sent Android 18 flying with a kick. Then he crossed his hands, raised them to his forehead, and roared, "Masenko!" An enormous wave of energy struck Android 18 head-on.

Android 18 was blasted to pieces before she could make a sound.

Tears of joy streamed down Trunks's face. "Father, Gohan, Uncle Goku, Uncle Piccolo, everyone... I've finally avenged you," he murmured.

Then he dropped his Super Saiyan transformation and walked over to Son Goku. "Uncle Goku, the Androids are taken care of. Let's go back."

"No rush," Son Goku said. "There's still a little bug nearby."

Then he turned toward a concealed spot nearby and called out, "Come out, little bug. I can see you."

Cell, who had been hiding in the shadows in his first form, stepped out when he heard that.

He stood about two meters tall, with an ugly face and a bright green body covered in black spots.

Trunks shouted at him, "You spotted freak! Who are you, and why were you spying on my fight with the Androids?"

"Trunks, I never expected you to become this strong in just a few days," Cell said. "You even killed both Androids in an instant."

"How do you know me?" Trunks asked. "What's your name, and what are you after?"

"His name is Cell," Son Goku told Trunks. "He's the Ultimate Android created by Dr. Gero. What you see now is only his initial form. Once he absorbs both Androids, he'll reach his perfect form, and his power will increase dramatically."

Cell was stunned. "Son Goku, how do you know all that about me? Didn't you die of a heart condition?"

Son Goku ignored him and told Trunks, "He's all yours."

The moment Trunks heard that Cell was the Ultimate Android created by Dr. Gero, he had decided to kill him. At Son Goku's words, he immediately turned Super Saiyan, flashed in front of Cell, and punched him hard enough to make him cough up blood.

Seeing Trunks about to strike again, Cell hurriedly shouted, "Wait! Trunks, I'm not an evil Android! I've never killed anyone!"

Trunks remained unmoved. Over the years, the Androids had become his nightmare. He didn't care whether an Android was good or evil. If they were Androids, they had to die.

One Masenko blasted Cell to pieces, erasing him from the world.

"Well done, Trunks," Son Goku said. "That decisiveness of yours is a good trait. I like it."

Trunks dropped his Super Saiyan transformation and walked up to Son Goku. "You're too kind, Uncle Goku. I just didn't want anything to go wrong."

Son Goku nodded, then said to Trunks, "Come on. I'll take you to see Vegeta and the others!"

"Father and the others are still alive?" Trunks asked, overjoyed.

Son Goku shook his head. "They're dead, but their situation is rather unusual. Come with me, and you'll understand."

Trunks nodded and placed a hand on Son Goku's shoulder.

Son Goku used Instant Transmission, and in the blink of an eye, they arrived on King Kai's Planet.

Everyone looked at Son Goku and Trunks. "Long time no see, Trunks-and Goku from the other world."

Trunks looked at them excitedly. "Uncle Goku, Father, Uncle Piccolo, Gohan, Uncle Krillin, Uncle Tien Shinhan, Uncle Chiaotzu, Grandpa Master Roshi! You're all here!"

This world's Son Goku smiled. "Thank you for all your hard work over the years, Trunks. You've done well."

Vegeta snorted. "Not bad, kid. You didn't disgrace me."

Son Goku looked puzzled. "Vegeta, shouldn't you be in hell? What are you doing on King Kai's Planet?"

Vegeta flew into a rage. "Kakarot, you're just as annoying no matter which world you're from!"

Everyone burst out laughing.

This world's Son Goku explained, "Vegeta was in hell originally. Since everyone else was on King Kai's Planet, I begged King Kai to get him out of hell."

"So that's it," Son Goku said. "I thought something was off."

This world's Son Goku looked at Son Goku. "I can tell you're incredibly strong. How about a spar?"

Son Goku shook his head. "No need. Just spar with Trunks. He's stronger than any of you now."

Vegeta snorted. "Kakarot from the other world, stop looking down on us. We haven't been sitting around all these years. Trunks may be strong, but that doesn't mean he's stronger than me or Kakarot."

Son Goku smiled. "Do you think what you saw was Trunks's true strength?"

"Kakarot, what do you mean?" Vegeta asked. "Are you saying Trunks wasn't using his full power when he killed the Androids?"

"Of course not," Son Goku said. "They were just a couple of Androids. They weren't worth that much effort from Trunks as he is now."

Vegeta wanted to argue further.

Son Goku waved a hand. "Seeing is believing. Once you feel Trunks's power up close, you'll understand."

Then he turned to Trunks. "Trunks, show everyone your strength."

Trunks nodded. "All right, Uncle Goku."

Then he let out a roar and transformed straight into a Super Saiyan.

Vegeta was quite shocked as he sensed Trunks's power, but he still said, "If that's all you've got, Trunks, I can only call it decent."

At those words, Trunks went straight to full-power Super Saiyan 2.

Everyone's eyes widened. Vegeta was especially incredulous. "Impossible! Absolutely impossible!" he cried. "Even if Trunks trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, he could only have trained for two years at most! How could he catch up to-or even surpass-more than a decade of training by me and Kakarot?"
