Tang Xia was startled.
"Tangtang? Why did you come in?"
It was the lunchtime rush, and everyone in the Kitchen was busy. Not wanting to get too close and disturb anyone, Tang Tang obediently stood behind a storage rack.
"I'm going home, so I wanted to let you know, Auntie."
Tang Xia had thought she would stay the whole day again and was a little surprised. "You're leaving already?"
"Yep. There are so many customers now. If we keep taking up seats without leaving, the owner will get angry."
Tang Tang frowned, putting on a troubled expression as though the owner had grown annoyed with her. "Work hard, Auntie. I'll come see you again tomorrow."
Tang Xia: "..."
You don't actually have to come tomorrow either.
But Tang Tang gave her no chance to say it. With that, she waved and left the Kitchen. "See you tomorrow, Auntie!"
She had indeed planned to stay there all day at first, but after arriving, she realized the circumstances wouldn't allow it. Not only were they taking up seats, but the hours after lunch were also when she was most likely to get sleepy. Sitting around doing nothing would make her twice as drowsy. Her little body definitely wouldn't hold out, and she couldn't drag Sister Wang and the driver into it either.
Sure enough, as soon as they got home, Tang Tang was unbearably sleepy. She went to her room, changed her clothes, then climbed into bed for a nap.
To spend more time with Tang Xia, Tang Tang went in the afternoon the next day instead, stayed with her until her shift ended, then went to her home to play with Xiao Xiang for a while.
She also formally told her that her mom would come along to visit on Monday.
