The direct descendants of Lord Gods were not people even other Lord Gods would easily kill. Although he was a Paragon with a Sovereign behind him, he could not go too far;

but sparing them did not mean he could not teach them a lesson;

although he had not killed these Lord God descendants, he could ensure that they would suffer immense pain for the rest of their lives and make them understand that perhaps death would be a release.
