Background / History
Lilith established the rule that anyone who obtains the Netherworld Fruit may receive an audience with her and become one of her Lord God Emissaries. When Sean reaches Nether Mountain, she is impressed by his attainment in the Death Rule, accepts him as an emissary, and grants him a Material Defense Lord God Artifact. She also gives him fifty drops of Death Sovereign Power as his initial reward. 12 13 14
Although she declines to personally intervene in Sean’s feud with the Four Divine Beasts Family, Lilith permits him to handle intruders near Nether Mountain and rewards his results. His unusual ability to plant Soul Seeds in numerous God-level experts particularly surprises her; she believes his deep Death Rule research might allow him to become the first Death Rule Paragon. 15 21 22
After Sean becomes a Paragon and helps the Netherworld win a Plane War, Lilith rewards him with ten thousand drops of Death Sovereign Power and one thousand drops of Sovereign Power from each of the other ten elements. She later intervenes when the Four Divine Beasts’ Lord Gods confront Sean, publicly supporting his account that he acquired the disputed item in self-defense. 36 41
Lilith repeatedly spars with Sean in an effort to find insight into becoming a Paragon herself. She deliberately limits her own advantages, including Willpower and physical strength, but concedes that Sean’s profound attack techniques surpass hers. 51 52 53
During the search for the Shayu Rod’s holder, Lilith employs the Heart of the Underworld with Sean and the Netherworld Main God. The search identifies the target’s appearance from a dead Saint Domain expert’s memories, but cannot recover the target’s soul aura. 115 116
Sean later reveals to Lilith that he is secretly a Death Lord God. She responds with surprise and admiration, then works with him to prepare the Netherworld’s forces for the next Plane War. 123 124
After the Netherworld receives a Willpower reward, Lilith accepts Sean’s offer of a Water Element Lord Godhead. In exchange, she swears a Supreme God’s oath to lend him her Death Supreme Artifact for a trillion years. 128 137 She honors this oath during Sean’s battle with Orloff despite the danger of provoking the Destiny Master, and receives her gray longsword back after Orloff’s death. 141 142
Appearance
Lilith’s divine avatar is most often seen as a red-haired young woman. Her clothing varies between appearances, including a purplish-red robe while seated in her Nether Mountain palace. 7 71 121
- Red hair; frequently appears fishing at the Nether Hotel. 7 71
- Uses a water divine clone to move inconspicuously around the Netherworld. 71
- Carries a sickle when sparring without her Offensive Lord God Artifact. 52
- Her Sovereign form can manifest overwhelming Death Sovereign Power and Willpower. 41
Personality
Lilith is openly dissatisfied with being the only non-Paragon among the Four Great Rule Masters. She pursues breakthroughs over immense spans of time and is willing to enter disadvantaged sparring matches with Sean for even a slight chance at insight. 52 53 83
She is also bored by her long existence and takes interest in mortal lives, which she considers richer in stories than those of gods. Fishing is a recurring hobby, and she has reportedly brought other Sovereigns along to fish with her. 52 71
Despite her status, Lilith is unusually familiar with Sean. She asks him to call her “boss” around others, rewards him generously, protects his interests in disputes with other Sovereigns, and eventually permits him to address her by name after he becomes a Sovereign himself. 15 36 41 142
Abilities & Skills
Death Sovereign Authority
Lilith possesses Sovereign-level Death Power and Willpower as the Death Sovereign and ruler of the Netherworld.
- Her manifested Willpower forces nearby God-level beings from the sky and suppresses even the Four Divine Beasts’ Lord God forms. 41
- She can conceal conversations by twisting or sealing surrounding space with Sovereign Power. 15 123
- She can transport others across the Netherworld with Death Sovereign Power. 123
- She grants Death Sovereign Power and Sovereign Artifacts to trusted emissaries. 13 14 36
Super Divine Beast Physique
Lilith is a Super Divine Beast whose body is described as having toughness comparable to a Sovereign Artifact. 51 128
- She can suppress this physical advantage during sparring to create a more balanced match. 52
- Her unnamed Innate Divine Ability is described as overwhelmingly powerful and is a major reason she can stand alongside the other Rule Masters despite not initially being a Paragon. 84
Heart of the Underworld
The Heart of the Underworld enables Lilith to search the souls that enter the Netherworld Realm. 85 115
- She uses it with the Netherworld Main God and Sean to search for witnesses connected to a Supreme God Relic. 115
- It can recover a person’s appearance from another soul’s memories. 116
- It cannot obtain the soul aura of a person merely seen in those memories. 116
- Lilith states that its capabilities can be used to investigate or potentially resurrect someone from a Material Plane. 85
Plane Creation and Teleportation
Lilith created a Sovereign-level Teleportation Array leading to a plane of her own creation. 52
- Her created plane resembles a Material Plane, though it lacks the Supreme Gods’ Teleportation Arrays. 52
- She uses the plane as a secluded setting for combat training and sparring. 52
Soul Poison Research
Lilith attempts to learn and reproduce Sean’s Soul Poison technique to strengthen her own combat ability. 83 85
- She can use Soul Poison refined by Sean, but her own execution remains far weaker than his. 85
- Her independently refined version is stated to be more than a hundred times weaker than Sean’s. 85
- Even if she became a Paragon, the technique would not necessarily match Sean’s specialized mastery. 85
- She ultimately considers her Innate Divine Ability more useful than the limited improvement gained from Soul Poison. 85
