Background / History

Lilith established the rule that anyone who obtains the Netherworld Fruit may receive an audience with her and become one of her Lord God Emissaries. When Sean reaches Nether Mountain, she is impressed by his attainment in the Death Rule, accepts him as an emissary, and grants him a Material Defense Lord God Artifact. She also gives him fifty drops of Death Sovereign Power as his initial reward. 12 13 14

Although she declines to personally intervene in Sean’s feud with the Four Divine Beasts Family, Lilith permits him to handle intruders near Nether Mountain and rewards his results. His unusual ability to plant Soul Seeds in numerous God-level experts particularly surprises her; she believes his deep Death Rule research might allow him to become the first Death Rule Paragon. 15 21 22

After Sean becomes a Paragon and helps the Netherworld win a Plane War, Lilith rewards him with ten thousand drops of Death Sovereign Power and one thousand drops of Sovereign Power from each of the other ten elements. She later intervenes when the Four Divine Beasts’ Lord Gods confront Sean, publicly supporting his account that he acquired the disputed item in self-defense. 36 41

Lilith repeatedly spars with Sean in an effort to find insight into becoming a Paragon herself. She deliberately limits her own advantages, including Willpower and physical strength, but concedes that Sean’s profound attack techniques surpass hers. 51 52 53

During the search for the Shayu Rod’s holder, Lilith employs the Heart of the Underworld with Sean and the Netherworld Main God. The search identifies the target’s appearance from a dead Saint Domain expert’s memories, but cannot recover the target’s soul aura. 115 116

Sean later reveals to Lilith that he is secretly a Death Lord God. She responds with surprise and admiration, then works with him to prepare the Netherworld’s forces for the next Plane War. 123 124

After the Netherworld receives a Willpower reward, Lilith accepts Sean’s offer of a Water Element Lord Godhead. In exchange, she swears a Supreme God’s oath to lend him her Death Supreme Artifact for a trillion years. 128 137 She honors this oath during Sean’s battle with Orloff despite the danger of provoking the Destiny Master, and receives her gray longsword back after Orloff’s death. 141 142

Lilith’s divine avatar is most often seen as a red-haired young woman. Her clothing varies between appearances, including a purplish-red robe while seated in her Nether Mountain palace. 7 71 121

She is also bored by her long existence and takes interest in mortal lives, which she considers richer in stories than those of gods. Fishing is a recurring hobby, and she has reportedly brought other Sovereigns along to fish with her. 52 71

Despite her status, Lilith is unusually familiar with Sean. She asks him to call her “boss” around others, rewards him generously, protects his interests in disputes with other Sovereigns, and eventually permits him to address her by name after he becomes a Sovereign himself. 15 36 41 142
