"I never thought I'd have another chance to become a Sovereign!"
Sean was overwhelmed with emotion. After coming to the Coiling Dragon world, becoming a Paragon was something he could potentially achieve through his own effort and talent.
But becoming a Sovereign was not something one could attain through cultivation. It required a heaven-defying stroke of fortune. Especially now that the Sovereigns had already emerged, even if a few Sovereigns had yet to take their positions, their Sovereign Sparks were most likely in the hands of other Sovereigns or even the Sovereigns of the Edicts.
To obtain a Sovereign Spark was nearly impossible for a God-level expert. Take the Death Sovereign, for instance. As one of the Four Great Rule Masters and wielder of a Supreme Divine Artifact, even she had no chance of obtaining another Water Element Lord Godhead.
"The first problem now is finding out the name of the dead Sovereign, then locating his Material Plane."
Sean made up his mind. This was his highest priority now: find that Material Plane first, then consider everything else, such as that Magic Array.
With that thought, Sean vanished abruptly and appeared within his imperial palace on Qingyuan Continent. Spreading out his divine sense, he locked onto someone. "Robbes, notify Breler. Have him return to the Netherworld, then use the Teleportation Array to come to the Azure Origin Plane's Material Plane. Tell him I need his help with something. The payment will be Sovereign's Might."
Robbes was one of the two Seven-Star Demons Sean had placed at Breler's side years ago. At the time, Sean's divine clone in the Netherworld had been wanted by the Four Divine Beasts Family, so he had arranged for them to come to the Azure Origin Plane as well.
On the Azure Origin Plane, Sean had his Saint Domain original body, Life Divine Clone, and Light divine clone. He could likewise contact Breler at any time. This was to ensure that, in an extreme situation, he could still reach Breler.
But it no longer mattered now. Both his Life and Death God Avatars possessed Paragon-level profound mysteries and Willpower. Within a Material Plane, they were absolutely invincible.
Robbes immediately replied, "Yes, Master."
Sean then spread out his divine sense and summoned his two most outstanding descendants: his son Tuoya and his daughter Claire.
"Greetings, Father," Tuoya and Claire said with bows.
"Sit." Sean was clearly in an excellent mood. With a wave of his hand, large amounts of food appeared on the table. "This is food I brought back from the Netherworld. You can give it a try."
"The Netherworld? Father, your Death God Avatar?" Tuoya asked in surprise.
"Yes, it's back." Sean smiled. At the same time, two bottles appeared in each of his hands, and he used divine power to send them to his children. "These contain one hundred drops of Water Element Sovereign's Might and one hundred drops of Dark Lord God Power.
"I've told you before what Sovereign's Might is. Keep them safe. If you encounter danger in the future, you may use them in an emergency. There's no need to conserve them, but don't waste them either."
Maintaining a family consumed a great deal of Sovereign's Might. Fortunately, Sean had always restricted his descendants to living in the Material Plane, so there had been little need for it in that regard.
"Sovereign's Might." After Tuoya and Blair examined them for a moment and stored them in their Space Rings, Claire asked, "Father, are you giving us Sovereign's Might because you plan to send us to the Netherworld as well?"
"We still need to wait a little longer. There are things I still need to do." Sean shook his head. "You've already waited hundreds of millions of years. There's no need to rush now."
Under normal circumstances, as a Paragon who could soul-seed large numbers of Seven-Star Demons, he could easily establish his family in the Netherworld.
But now that there was news of a Sovereign Spark, he needed to devote himself fully to investigating the matter. He did not know whether it might draw the attention of other Sovereigns, so it was better for his family to remain safely in the Material Plane.
"Yes, Father," Claire and Tuoya replied.
Their respect for their father came not merely from the authority of his status, but also from his strength. The two of them were both Highgods who had fused two profound mysteries, yet before their father, their strength was utterly insignificant.
Half a month later, Sean suddenly opened his eyes and looked toward the Plane Teleportation Array.
Less than half a day later, Breler arrived at the grassy field where Sean was. Bowing, he said, "Greetings, Lord Sean. Congratulations on becoming an invincible Paragon Highgod."
"Haha, you're quite well-informed." Sean asked, "You've been in the Material Plane all this time, right? Then you came directly to the Azure Origin Plane through the Teleportation Array. How did you learn about this?"
Breler smiled. "Lord Sean, I have another divine clone."
"Mm." Sean did not ask further. He then took out three drops of Light Sovereign Power and said, "Breler, these are for you."
"My lord, this..." Breler's eyes were filled with disbelief.
Sovereign's Might—and Sovereign's Might that matched his element, at that. Countless Seven-Star Demons could go their entire lives without obtaining even a single drop of Sovereign's Might. They could only dream of having it, yet Sean had directly given him three drops.
"Take them." Sean smiled. "I'll have other matters for you to handle in the future."
"Thank you, my lord." After storing away the Sovereign's Might, Breler asked, "My lord, do you still need me to inscribe the Magic Array for extracting Sovereign's Might?"
Sean shook his head. "There's no rush. Stay in this plane for now. If I need anything, I'll ask you. At other times, you may do whatever you like."
After becoming a Paragon, he had learned that even a Paragon could not directly extract Sovereign's Might from currency. A Magic Array was still necessary.
However, with Willpower, both the success rate and the degree of soul pain one had to endure would be greatly reduced. Still, Paragons simply did not lack Sovereign's Might. Even if they did not serve as emissaries, some Sovereigns would seek Paragons to help them with certain tasks, and the payment in Sovereign's Might usually began at ten thousand drops.
"Understood," Breler replied.
Several more months passed before Sean separated his Death God Avatar from his other divine clones and headed for the Netherworld.
Although he still lacked much information, if he truly managed to obtain the Sovereign Spark from that Material Plane, then if the opportunity arose, he could directly tear open space and refine it within Space Turbulence.
This time, he teleported to the Nether Sea again.
"A Highgod?" Upon seeing Sean and finding that their divine sense could not scan him, quite a few Lord God Soldiers immediately realized that he was an expert from another God Plane.
Sean ignored those around him. With a flicker, he vanished, and when he reappeared, he was already above the Nether Sea.
The sea wind howled. Standing above the endless waves of the Nether Sea, Sean pondered, The Death Sovereign controls the Netherworld, while the other six control the Nether Sea. It seems I first need to determine which of the Nether Sea's six regions that dead Sovereign belonged to.
The Death Sovereign certainly knew these things, but he had no reason to ask her directly. At present, he still did not know whether the other Sovereigns knew about that Sovereign having sealed away his Sovereign Spark.
If they did not, he would simply be handing the Sovereign Spark over to the Death Sovereign.
