Despite losing so much blood, Rhea woke up within just half an hour. After taking a sip of the broth his companion gave him, he planned to begin the task Kroya had assigned.
He was certainly brimming with confidence and enthusiasm, and he considered himself experienced. Yet the process did not go nearly as smoothly as he had imagined.

Jamie had no fondness whatsoever for the man who had come "close" to assassinating his respected mentor and benefactor.
Besides, Kroya had told him to "cooperate," so naturally, he was free to decide how to go about it.
Thus, he challenged Rhea's proposal without the slightest hesitation.
Of course, his objections remained entirely reasonable.
"If we arrange absolutely everything," he said, "why bother using people? Why not just use golems?"
What concerned Jamie was Rhea's approach to clearing and cultivating the land.
Rhea's method was to appoint supervisors and have the farmers simply keep their heads down and work, without needing to think about anything.
They could appoint someone to arrange the subsequent cultivation as well. This was how the Earth Mother Goddess Church had always done things, minimizing the expenditure of manpower.
But Jamie felt this directly conflicted with Kroya's usual approach. Kroya always set a goal, then let them learn and work toward it themselves.
He believed they should follow Kroya's methods in these matters. That was the right path.
