The enormous banyan, dozens of meters tall, suddenly stood up. Its aerial roots served as arms, tightly protecting the house without so much as a visible jolt.
Gathered raindrops and clouds swirled around it as it unleashed powerful magical fluctuations without restraint.
Clearly, this was a powerful Treant. Even the Orpheus Oak, a God-Touched, was surprised.
He could only stop for the moment.
Apparently, his attempt to enter had provoked this reaction. They were both trees, so why was it so hostile toward him?
"Didn't you test its magic when you brought it here?"
He asked Semir beside him, "Magic this powerful is approaching that of a level-ten mage. Surely your tests should have detected it?"
Semir, who had been woken by the commotion and come running, was drenched in sweat.
He frowned. "We tested every Magic Plant with a magic detector. Its reading was very low."
Semir produced the original test results: Banyan_12, magic inspection passed, magical strength: level three.
As a dependable adult, Semir naturally made sure all preparations were complete before officially beginning the relocation of the Magic Plants and Magical Beasts.
Besides, his trip had nominally been to recruit people under the Reef Duke's orders.
Picking up a few flowers and plants along the way was one thing. Bringing absolutely everything back like a swarm of locusts would certainly have been embarrassing.
The Oak glanced at the magic detector, then at the standing banyan. After a moment's thought, he still decided to go inside.
At the very least, he needed to find out what it wanted.
Otherwise, an unstable element like this in Kroya's garden would sooner or later be taken apart by the Apprentices.
Level-ten magic was not the same as a level-ten mage. Raw power without the knowledge or means to cast corresponding spells
