History
Founding and the first Witch-Demon conflict
Dijun and Taiyi established the Demon Clan and the Celestial Court on the Thirty-Third Heaven, inviting all Demon Clan beings to cultivate there. The foundation was recognized by the Heavenly Dao, granting the new faction considerable fortune and immediately making it a major power in the Primordial World 64.
The Twelve Ancestral Witches viewed the Demon Clan's ambition to rule the Primordial World as an unacceptable challenge to the Witch Race. They attacked the newly founded Celestial Court, nearly destroying the Demon Clan before Hongjun intervened. Hongjun decreed that the sky belonged to the Demon Clan and the earth to the Witch Race, prohibiting further Witch-Demon battles for one hundred thousand years 65.
Expansion and conflict with Tongtian
The Demon Clan sought to consolidate the Boundless Sea by compelling the weakened Dragon Clan to submit. Demon Master Kunpeng was sent to pressure the Dragon Clan, but Tongtian intervened on its behalf because Ao Li, the Dragon Clan's eldest princess, was his mount 72.
Dijun and Taiyi personally led the Demon Clan to the East Sea after Kunpeng's failure. They fought Tongtian together but were suppressed by the Four Swords of Zhuxian; Tongtian severely injured Dijun with a single Zhuxian Sword strike. To survive, the two Demon Emperors swore a Heavenly Dao oath that their spiritual treasures would pass to Tongtian after their deaths, then withdrew 73 74.
Recruitment and preparation
To strengthen the Celestial Court against the Witch Race, the Demon Clan recruited prominent Innate Great Powers. Bai Ze invited Fuxi and Nüwa to join, offering assistance with Nüwa's path to sainthood; Nüwa later kept her distance from the faction's affairs, while Fuxi remained deeply bound to it by karma and served as one of its Four Emperors 79 84 95.
Fuxi completed the Stellar Array of the Heavens for the Demon Clan. The array became its principal answer to the Witch Race's Twelve Heavens Godly Fiends Formation 84 96.
Defeat in the Great Tribulation
The ten Golden Crow princes brought the conflict with the Witch Race to open war by ravaging Witch territory. After nine princes died, Dijun led the Demon Clan into a full-scale campaign against the Witches 95.
The Demon Clan deployed the Stellar Array of the Heavens, but the Witch Race answered with the Twelve Heavens Godly Fiends Formation. During the stalemate, Kunpeng betrayed the faction, stealing the Hetu and Luoshu and attempting to escape with the Chaos Bell. The loss shattered the Demon Clan's position, and its forces rapidly collapsed 96.
Dijun and Taiyi refused to retreat and ultimately self-destructed. Fuxi also fell in his final battle, while surviving Demon Clan members fled the Thirty-Third Heaven. With the Demon Emperors gone, Dijun declared that there would be no more Demon Emperor in the Primordial World 97.
