Li Wei uncovered the Holy Lord Church’s demon worship and learned that Hell’s Gate was opening, then joined the Empire’s preparations against Kront while helping reshape public opinion through comics. The arc left him building a comic studio and training artists as the Empire prepared to use guided missiles and the Floating City in its war.

• Li Wei defeated the demons in the Holy Maiden’s castle, learned that Hell’s Gate lay beneath the City of Flowers, and discovered that the Philosopher’s Stone powered a floating fortress.
• Li Wei traced the Church’s corrupted faith to Bishop Mephistopheles and learned that deaths in the City of Flowers could help trigger Hell’s Gate.
• Li Wei, Sister Elizabeth, and Katie raided the Holy Lord Church’s Underground Holy Hall, where Pope Franz’s clergy revealed their demonic rites and a Punishment Angel attacked them.
• Li Wei and Katie destroyed the Punishment Angel, but black fog spread through the City of Flowers and demons began possessing people as the seal failed.
• The Queen arrived, heard Li Wei and Joan Dark’s report, and asked Li Wei to make a comic that would correct public beliefs about demons.
• Li Wei demonstrated the power of guided missiles, and the Queen ordered their production and the Cyclops Airship’s refit for the campaign against Kront.
• Li Wei created Iron Legion and opened a comic studio, recruiting five artists and teaching them to develop their drawings into comics.

Li Wei helped the Empire break Cront’s forces, uncovered Mithril Valley’s secrets, and equipped the military with new weapons as demons and mutants threatened the front. The arc ended with Imperial troops entering ruined Derrin and meeting a Beastman horde.

• Li Wei secured Matilda’s Unforgiven Love for a comic adaptation, then used guided missiles to destroy Cront’s defenses and force Deburg to surrender.
• William II rejected the Empire’s surrender demand and became engulfed by a blood-filled ritual, while Li Wei saw Derrin transformed by a spreading biological growth.
• Li Wei led the Empire’s defense against mutant monsters, killed Leviathan with guided missiles, and began planning new weapons and an assault on Derrin.
• Li Wei and the Holy Maiden explored Mithril Valley, uncovered its deadly history and the sealed God of Stone, then escaped with the Forge Hammer.
• Li Wei reported Mithril Valley’s recovery to the Queen and challenged the Church’s account of demons in a radio debate, while the Holy Maiden said the black mist’s seal was working again.
• Li Wei demonstrated homing missiles and rocket platforms, then led the Winter Is Coming operation as the Empire bombarded Derrin and killed Leviathan with the Eye of the Sky’s main gun.

Li Wei defeated the Alien Monster, investigated Justice Buckley’s murder, and strengthened his ties with the Queen and Holy Maiden. He then led an assault on Francis’s Soul Towers and discovered that the Goddess of Joy or her emissary might be involved in the demons’ effort to break Arthur’s Seal.

• Li Wei destroyed the Alien Monster by freezing it in space, then returned to the Empire and helped decide how to treat the transformed Beastmen.
• Li Wei discussed his ideas about crime, technology, and an amusement park in a newspaper interview, then investigated Justice Buckley’s death and exposed Harry and Mike’s murder cover-up.
• The Queen honored Li Wei and Dame Joan Dark, while Li Wei refused Princess Louise’s invitation to marry because he wanted to retain his political power.
• Lydia found a witch attack at an outpost, and Li Wei and the Holy Maiden connected the witches to demons and the black fog in Francis.
• Li Wei and the Holy Maiden attacked Francis’s Soul Towers, broke a barrier, dispersed the miasma, and Li Wei killed a Flame Demon during the withdrawal.
• Li Wei destroyed the remaining Soul Prisms and learned that the demons might be targeting Arthur’s Seal in the City of Flowers, where he overheard a black-winged woman discuss the plan.
• The Holy Maiden identified the black-winged woman as the Goddess of Joy or her emissary and proposed that they try to win her help by pleasing her.

Li Wei investigated the frozen Empire Embassy killings, intervened in the Sasha Alliance, and pursued the Wild Hunt to its buried city. After learning the Wild Hunt King sought Sophia’s holy maiden bloodline, Li Wei and his allies defeated the Hollow Shadows stalking the camp.

• Li Wei destroyed the Iron Warrior and two Soul Prism towers, then discovered that the chained Nail of Order belonged to the devils, not the demons.
• Little Mermaid gained human legs after touching the Natural Staff, and Li Wei spared it while taking the girls to the Pearl Islands, where he solved Mrs. Riddle’s murder and exposed Mr. Riddle and Mrs. Glaite.
• Li Wei inspected the amusement park’s rides, then investigated the frozen Empire Embassy and traced the attack to the Wild Hunt.
• Li Wei defeated the Ghost Knights and Wild Hunt, brought Sophia to Franz I, and secured the Empire’s intervention in the Sasha Alliance as Shabak’s leaders proposed abolishing their military.
• Sophia dreamed of the lost city of Tanner and its ancient king, so Li Wei led the Imperial army to Ice City and fought off the Wild Hunt and other monsters.
• Li Wei learned from the Winged Woman that the Wild Hunt King had been sealed beneath Ice City, and he vowed to destroy him after the system assigned the quest “Root Them Out.”
• The Hollow Shadows attacked Li Wei’s camp and targeted Sophia, but Li Wei’s forces used searchlights, flares, and fire to kill seven, while the Winged Woman helped destroy the eighth.
